Well then don’t invite them. 🙂

Will it cause drama? If yes, then you might have to consider inviting them. If no, then cut them.

I wouldn’t though but that’s because I don’t really care about crazy people like that.

If they don’t mean anything to you two, and it won’t bother you that they aren’t there, then don’t invite them.  It’s your day, it’s not about if they are there or not.

it’s your day, your choice.  If they can’t be trusted to behave responsibly or if you feel like it would be on your mind on your day then don’t invite them.  It might not go down well, but at least you can get on and enjoy your day in peace!

I don’t see any reason to invite either of them.

If it will cause drama, I wouldn’t invite them.. I have a situation like this too and I decided against inviting said relatives.

Don’t invite – unless it will cause major familial drama!

Great question. I have distant cousins who I never see and, as harsh as it sounds, I don’t really associate with because I don’t agree with or have anything in common with their lifestyle. I don’t have a relationship with them so I don’t feel it is necessary to invite them to my (somewhat) small wedding. My mom disagrees with this but I feel very strongly about it. Besides, I am paying for the majority of wedding related cost so, at the end of the day, I feel it is my decision. Honestly, it wouldn’t be a problem and they wouldn’t even know I’m getting married if it weren’t for Facebook! Undecided

I wouldn’t invite them. For the sister, she’s not going to appreciate it no matter what you do, so why try to be nice? As for the cousin, I think being in jail and on drugs all the time kind of disqualifies you from an automatic invite. I mean, if they’d turned over a new leaf and were trying to reform and get their lives together, I’d say be kind and inclusive and invite them. But otherwise, no way.

I wouldn’t invite the step sister or the jail bird cousin. If the step dad & your fi mom are still married then I’d invite him.
