Is the party “Dynasty”-themed?

I personally think it’s not only hideously out of style, but yes, a little much for a 15yo. I’d encourage her to think more along the lines of say, Taylor Swift, and less Kardashian.

No way. It’s not the worst dress ever, but it’s completely inappropriate, especially for a child.

Depends what she looks like and what kind of party it is. If she is not at all curvy and its a sweet sixteen or something semi-formal yes. However, I could see it being too sexy for a more busty 15 year old.

I think the combination of being super short, strapless, and tight-fitting is innapropriate. (I also think it’s an ugly dress) But there are worse things she could wear, that are more vulgar.

If she is a curvy 15 yr old it would look way more inappropriate looking than one who wasn’t. Don’t like that dress for anyone though. I agree with the poster that said, ” Think more Taylor swift not Kardasian”

I would love to know if the OP would have wanted to wear this when she was 15 herself, just out of interest.

Anyway no matter what my daughters body shape was I would say no.

Too sexy! And also I would think too fancy for most parties a 15 y o would attend?

I’d vote NO

As a Mom, I am very much aware of what it was like to Parent a Teenage Girl thru those difficult years.

There are just too many confusing messages coming her way… about what is current fashion, and what SEXY and being a woman means.

Girls who are 13, 14 and 15 are very much influenced by the media (they haven’t figured out yet that EVERYTHING they are told is bought & paid for by someone…) and their peers.  They are easily influenced, and often don’t have the “maturity” to comprehend the consequences of the actions they choose.

That dress is very much a ticking time bomb IMO at a party if there are Guys involved (and there usually are)

That dress is too much Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and other OLDER “sex sells” celebrities.

So, ya I’d be looking for something else.  Do not cave into the pressure she’s going to put on you for something this skin revealing, form fitting, short etc.

AND if she has boobs of any size, she no doubt is going to have issues with keeping a strapless dress “in place and under control”… strictly because she probably doesn’t have a lot of experience with them… lol they are hard enough to MANAGE when you are older (just witness all the Wedding Videos with 20 something women tugging at the top of their dresses trying not to have a serious “fashion malfunction”)

Hope this helps,

PS… Hang in there Mom.  It does get easier.  Their brains catch up to their over-developed bodies around 16-1/2 to 17, and their hearts & heads align somewhere in their 20s.  (( HUGS ))
