I am planning on letting my maid of honor wear a tiara so she will stand out from the bridesmaids. I dont feel it will steal my “shine” because I am the bride. The one with the poofy dress and the one getting married. However some people ive saw on tv says only the bride should wear a tiara…..what are your opinions on this

@adriskill: it’s your wedding. if you want her to wear a tiara then do it. who cares what other people think? 🙂

If she wanted to. My MoH would likely laugh at me if I asked her to wear a tiara.

no one should ever wear a tiara in my opinion, but it’s your wedding do whatever you want!

I didn’t wear a tiara because it just didn’t really go with the look/feel I was wanting for my wedding. I don’t think I would have let my Maid/Matron of Honor either. It just wasn’t a tiara kind of event.

If she wants to and you’re okay with it, then sure! Why not?

As long as your headpiece will be bigger/more dramatic, I say go for it if that’s what you want to do. But I’d stay away from anything that looks too prom queen/miss America.

Only if she actually genuinely wants to. Otherwise there are more dignified ways to make your Maid/Matron of Honor stand out. A larger or more intricate bouquet or a slightly different but still matching dress are my 2 favorite ways.

As long as it wasn’t some 10inch tall thing, that looked more crownish I wouldn’t care. Does she want to wear one?

Like… A full on, big, stand up from the head tiara? If thats what she wanted, but I think it would look silly. A sparkly headband would be fine though.

@Taeyers –what do you feel is undignifed about a tiara?
@EffieTrinket -yes mine is way more blinged out that hers.hers is more modest…

If you’re cool with it and your Maid/Matron of Honor is cool with it, then go for it.
