Oh, I think that’s perfect! Real maple syrup is where it’s at. I’m spoiled by relatives who do their own syruping, and between that, my French-Canadian heritage, and parents who lived in VT for a couple years, I’m pretty much obligated to say yes!

We went to a wedding last October in the mountainas in Upstate New York and got these as our favor.  We absolutely loved it.  We make waffles/pancakes/french toast every Saturday morning, so this was yummie.

Yup! We had syrup as our favors and the guests loved them, even had people open them and take a shot of it during the reception, and not one was left behind! I know a lot of people say they had favors left over and I was honestly hoping we would since I wanted more for us!

I’d love either, but would prefer real maple syrup! 🙂

If you do honey, you could do a cute little “Meant to bee” label, or for syrup “Thanks for making our day so sweet!” (I loveee puns hehe).

@WhiteSnow:  Like many others, I would love this.  I think the only thing you would have to be sure of is that the favors were small enough to be put in “liquids baggie” so that any of your guests who flew in would not be faced (potentially) with the choice of paying an extra $25 to check a bag or having to leave such a delicious favor behind!

If it was homemade or local I would love it.  I might think it was a little strange if it was like a Mrs. Butterworths bottle.

I’d love it, but I’m admittedly SUPER PICKY about my maple syrup. I was ruined by years of living in Vermont and only eat grade B. I want to taste the tree.

@thejucheidea:  Oh nice!  I was at Middlebury.  I love B grade too, so yummy.

@lolot:  I considered Middlebury because I was a Japanese language major and they have an amazing language program, but I wanted smaller than Middlebury (lol) — Bennington had about 600 students when I attended.

I am obsessed with real maple syrup and will GLADLY take your surplus favors should you have any.

Besdies, syrup favors for a brunch reception? PERFECT!

I might even be tempted to find and include a “perfect pancakes” recipe on a label attached to the bottle, because HELLO, HOMEMADE PANCAKES!
