So I found these DIY coasters on Pinterest and fell in love. They are super easy to make and the best part??? The tiles were only 9 cents at Lowes!!! (they were on sale and my step-dad gets an employee discount). I’ve decided that I’ll do them in sets of 2 (so each guest gets 2 coasters). So all together I’m only spending about 30-40 cents per person for these favors (and they don’t at all look or feel cheap, even though they cost so little). It really doesn’t get better than that 🙂
It’s already pretty much a done deal since I’ve already bought the tiles, but what do you think? Love them or hate them?

(not sure exactly what design I plan to stamp on them…maybe damask?)

I’d proably throw them in a drawer if they didn’t match my decor in my house, but thats my opinion. They are tile, so you have to think about breakage. Tile cracks and breaks easily.

If they fit with the decor of my house and didn’t have any names/dates on them, then yes. I’m actually shopping for coasters right now and can’t find any I like!

we have too many coasters as it is, so unfortunately I’d probably end up leaving them behind

@givemecouture: they definitely won’t have any names/dates on them! That actually drives me crazy when brides do that.
I think I’m going to try to make them as neutral as possible. Like black/grey ink and a pattern that is pretty diverse (unlike the flowers and butterflies in the picture)

I’d love them! I don’t have any coasters and I’d appreciate the handmade effort. You’ll never find a favour everyone loves anyway.. even if you gave them cash! 🙂
