Stephville:  i would say no; not because it’s not a great gift (i would like it!) BUTTT because with 6 girls, you’ve got to consider that they all have different skin types/allergies/irritations (there’s glitter in most UD makeup), they all have preferences (so they might only wear 2-3 shades out of the entire pallette), and they might not like any of it.

i’d opt for a gift card, or something that’s a little less polarizing than makeup

Yes I would like this as a gift but I think you should ask them what they would prefer. My fiance was thinking of getting my Maid/Matron of Honor and Best man they are engaged wine or alcholo as a thank you gift because that is what they like.

Umm..not to sound rude, but why would you even ask if you already bought them?

Urban Decay sounds like a trashy name, but it’s actually really high quality makeup – and not cheap, as you’ve discovered! I love the stuff myself, and would be totally down with this gift. It may not be everyone’s coloring, though.

I would love it, but I would prefer Naked 2! I would, on occassion, wear each and every one of those colors in the one you posted though. Does it come with the primer in the picture too? I can NEVER have enough eye primer…. I always forget to restock on primer, so I would be even more elated to get some as a gift!

I would love to receive this palette. I like Urban Decay, and personally do a smoky eye every day. When you use a liner brush, it really doesn’t come out very sparkly. I’m using a Kat Von D palette now, but will be onto the next soon. For me, the naked palettes are too natural (I wish they had more dark colors). I also think it’s nice to give a gift that someone may enjoy, but might not splurge for on their own. $45 is not nothing, especially if any of the recipients drugstore makeup day to day.

I wear eyeshadow daily, but would never pick up that palette. I’d prefer the Naked Basics palette or I’d put together a giftbox at L’Occitane.

I personally wouldn’t like it, because I wear one specific brand of makeup.

Stephville:  I would love to get en eyeshadow palette as a gift but if you’re looking to spend around $45 I would go with the LORAC Pro or LORAC Pro2 palette ($42). They’re much better as far as colors go. And if you get them from Ulta, they come with the primer which many people have said is much better than UD’s primer.

Stephville:  I would be happy with urban decay eye make up kit! As long as your ladies wear makeup. I know a couple of my girls wear little to no makeup… I don’t even wear it much anymore, but I do to special occasions and it’s always nice to have good quality makeup that won’t wear off after a couple hours.
