It wouldn’t annoy me but I wouldn’t know any of them so I probably wouldn’t be involved very much.

Most of the games annoy me.

How many people are coming?  It’s going to take much much longer than you think to open presents.

Maybe you could use the famous literary couples as favors or to use as decorations.

I think it would be fun if everyone would get most of them.  We did a word scramble at my friend’s baby shower and since I like word scrambles, I got all of the words very easily.  Like everyone else was like, “What is this, school?”  I felt like an idiot because I was so good at it.  It was awkward and stupid.

Unless most of the people attending are comfortable with their intelligence, I would not do this.

@swisea01:  So as a rule I HATE shower games because they always want me to dig around my purse for a condom (uhh, gross? My grandmother is right there..) or dress someone up with toilet paper, but I really like games that are personal for the bride or groom.. it usually means they’re unique and I get to learn something about the couple. Personally, I’d love that game (even though I’d lose for sure)

For my BFFs wedding where I was the Maid/Matron of Honor, the kissing game was that you had to create and read a haiku to get the couple to kiss. It was hilarious!

I probably wouldn’t know any of them. I think the “bride trivia” games are funny though. You have everyone guess/answer things about the bride (favorite color, who her first kiss was, etc etc) an the one with the most correct answers wins. That one is bearable because it’s not about your intelligence and you learn stuff about the bride and couple.

@swisea01:  as long as it’s stuff someone besides the bride would know, I don’t see the problem
