@BM-is-a-TERRIBLE-acronym:  They are getting married, so I assume money will soon be fungible. I can’t relate to the fact that this would be an issue.

My gosh i’d be thrilled! Not only do I get the car I wanted, but I get a few extra hundred / thousand spending money since I’m no longer saving for anything! 😉

I’d be so fricken happy! Then I could spend the money I saved on clothes, shoes and handbags! Haha!

BUT

Since we have joint savings, I wouldn’t be happy if he just went out and bought me a car using that. If he was secretly saving, well, that’s another thing entirely, hehe.

@BM-is-a-TERRIBLE-acronym:  I wouldn’t mind if he paid for something I was saving for. However I wouldn’t want him to buy me a car because I have a perfectly functional car already, and I think it’s a waste of money to buy brand new cars. Lol but that’s just me and I’m a pretty thrifty person.

RIght now I’d be shocked! We don’t have the money for my dream car, and I have a working car right now. If we truly had the money, sure!

@BM-is-a-TERRIBLE-acronym:  I’d just direct the money I was saving to something else. Married couples work together. My husband bought me my truck, and I bought him one back. Nothing to get fussed over if you ask me.

It is a sweet gesture but not one that I would really enjoy.  I love making a deal!

@BM-is-a-TERRIBLE-acronym:  I’d be incredibly shocked and happy! Besides, it wouldn’t be like all the saving was for nothing. I’d probably suggest that we stick it into joint savings and use the money towards another long-term goal.

@AlwaysSunny:  I think that’s a really great idea, like say they are just going for a tething ether fun, then you like it? Ta-da it’s yours!

Ps, has she actually driven one?
