They’re very lovely, but they’d be put in a drawer and never seen again.

@futuremrskgt:  I’m probably in the minority but I really love pretty soaps like this, but it would really depend on the scent.  If I liked the scent, it would get used by me!

If the soap was homemade with no artificial chemicals I would love it, but since its got synthetic chemicals, I wouldn’t use it. Sorry!

I think that is an awesome favor and that you should do it!

I don’t use bar soap, so I wouldn’t use them.

I agree with Hyperventilate. They’re beautiful, but I doubt I’d use them.

I tend to get a lot of soaps and candles as gifts for other occasions, and I usually end up re-gifting them.  Many soaps dry out my skin so I only use certain types anymore, and none of them are bar soaps.

No, I’d definitely leave it behind. I’m sure a lot of men would too.

@futuremrskgt:  I read your post and read the other comments, and even stole a peak at the results of the poll so far before I even clicked the link… judging by the less-than-thrilled comments and the poll that was mostly “no,” I was expecting something cheesy. Then I clicked the link… and they’re beautiful! I don’t understand all the negative comments.

If someone doesn’t use bar soap, why not put it in a guest bathroom for hand-washing? Or just… to be a pretty accent decoration. I have a couuple of friends who have an “untouchable” bar of soap in their bathroom next to the standard pump hand soap. It’s a lovely accent, and theirs are not even as pretty as the ones you posted a link to.

I voted yes, because it’s unique, different, and beautiful. It’s not your standard candy or chocolate or keychain or candle.. I like it a lot! 🙂

Keep in mind no favor will please EVERYONE, so don’t feel discouraged.  🙂

So pretty! I would keep it and look at it, but never use it. And feel bad that you as the host spent money on it, pretty as it is.

They are pretty but I wouldn’t use them so I would leave them behind or give them away.

futuremrskgt: Funny story: My aunt had mini soap as her wedding favor and my great uncle wasn’t paying attention, assumed it was a bar of white chocolate, and took a bite, haha. My family still talks about it… Maybe soap isn’t the way to go. Personally, I prefer something edible and I feel most people agree.

Edible is usually the best route
