Well, we have seen too much wedding dresses with white and yellow color. Maybe some will prefer a nice and fresh color. I have seen pink, purple, orange, even black and green. Maybe one day I will prefer a pink wedding dress or a orange one, but never a black one or a green one.
This is the green one which I saw on the Internet:
And this is the black one:
What puzzle me is that, when we choose these colored wedding dress, how to choose the bridemaid dresses. Because there may be too colorful in the wedding. For me, if I choose a colored wedding dress, I must be headache for those bms dresses.

I am a traditionalist, so I prefer the white or ivory. I would totally wear that green one to a function though.

I would not wear black, black is not for weddings!

I can appreciate a gown that is a different color than the typical white/ivory tones but personally would not wear one. I fell in love with the pearl color from Maggie Sottero, it was such a rich color. However, every time I wore a dress in that color I didn’t truly feel like a bride.

@sconzzy: Black is for weddings if a bride wears it…
I think that a bride should wear whatever color she feels most comfortable in 🙂

I imagine that black one looking really pretty with a long black veil 🙂 for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses with a colored dress, I might do a really different style dress in the same color family maybe dark green or light grey with these ones.
For myself, I’ll probably end up with a white/ivory dress just because it’s the only time in my life I forsee wearing a big white dress. but whenever I see a colored wedding dress I usually think they look great!

@natbug21: Agreed! If you feel comfortable with it… go for it!

I just ordered my wedding dress… it had the option to come in white, but I got it in lavender/silver. It’s the M9809L by Mia Solano and the color is gorgeous. White felt too naive to me and ivory felt too grandma-like, so this was perfect for my personality. The bridesmaids are wearing a much darker shade dress in the purple category so that it complements my dress. They love how it’s all coming together, and with the satin and pickups in my dress, it looks very luxurious in person!!

@tksjewelry:I like white or ivory wedding dresses. But I think the green one is beautiful too.
@sconzzy:Em, I don’t wear a black for wedding either.
@Treejewel19:Haha, that is interesting and really want to see you wearing in pearl color.
@natbug21:Yes, but these are our personnal feeling. It is most important for a bride wearing the comfortable wedding dress she likes.
@Butterbee:Hemm, what a great ideal. I want to wear white wedding dress also. Because this makes me elegant and pure.
@MadameTussaud:Look forward watching your gorgeous wedding dress, congratulation!

I think the green one is lovely! The black one isn’t my cup of tea, but I could see it looking wonderful on someone else! A wedding dress is whatever dress you want to gt married in. 😉

Well, I like the dresses too, but maybe the black one would look better wearing by another one.

My wedding dress is white, but I’m typically anti-tradition. I LOVE when people don’t wear white/ivory/blush and go with something complete unconventional. That black dress is gorgeous, but seeing that green dress…WOW…I’d love to see a real bride wear that!

I am planning on a colored dress ie not blush, white, or ivory. I just haven’t chosen a color yet 🙂
If you have followed my posts you will see that my bridesmaids are just wearing something completely different

@sconzzy: The groom and the groomsmen are often dressed in black tuxes or suits for evening weddings. Ipso facto, the colour black is appropriate for weddings. Individual personal preferences aside, I don’t get why society promotes that a colour deemed appropriate for the groom to wear is so out of bounds for a bride to wear… it’s not as if there isn’t any historical precedent for it.
@natbug21: Thank you!!
