I married my husband exactly 7 months from the day we met.

I voted Yes only because I totally would have married Fiance 6 months after we met (like we were in Vegas thinking we should do it).  We didn’t of course because I love weddings and I want to share it with my friends and family.  We got engaged at about 10 months though and our wedding is on our 2 year anniversary (I wanted that date!!).

We were living together 3 months after we met though and it went so well we both wanted to get married!  We met at 27/28 so we really didn’t have any reasons to wait.

Before I was with Fiance there’s no way I would have answered Yes to that question.  It would have been a definite NO…I probably wouldn’t have considered getting engaged until at least a year.

+1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you know you just know! My SO and I knew it from the start and started talking about marraige and wedding timelines in month 2/3. I think when it’s right, it’s just right and I would never date someone for several years. Either S*** or get of the pot! You should get married at a high point. I think dating for too long takes away the who excitement of getting married because you’re like an old married couple already.

I said yes because I “knew” with SO before a year. Had he proposed before the one year mark I’d have said yes.

@Bridey77:  exactly! if you are with someone for years and you’re still not “sure” I question if they are “the one”.

We were practically living togther after out first date, engaged at around 4 months and getting married on our 2nd anniversary. We kinda knew eachother for a year previous but I hated him lol.I dont think I act any different around him now vs waiting another 2 years. For us this is whts right. Not to mention I wanted to be the first from my group of friends to be married then have offspring. And I want some little ones soon!

@RECrerar:  I, too, am a hypocrite. I have a friend who met a guy, forced him to propose to her (he almost didn’t, and she was planning the wedding anyway) after 8 months and got married in 10 months. They each have young children from previous relationships. And now she wants….another baby!!! So they can “have something together”

THAT, I don’t approve of, and think was rushed. But, hey…who am I to judge, right? Lol. I hope it works out for the kids’ sake.
