Never! ๐Ÿ™ my two furry friends are small and a handful but I’ve grown attached. Just imagine my.icon staring with sad eyes ๐Ÿ™ . Though when moving in with dh I left my other dog with my mom but that’s only because she’s more active (definitely not apartment type) and well I left her with my mom! I would never have left her with anyone else.

I’m always so sick when I see people on FB and other social media outlets trying to get rid of their pets because they decided to have children and they “can’t deal with both.”

We have two cats and we’re currently trying for a baby, I can damn well assure you that we have NO PLANS to get rid of either of our precious darlings. They are our children, they depend on us, and we absolutely adore them.

@Twyla_Smith:  H and I almost gave up his childhood cat because we needed to move out of his mom’s place. A year after asking us to live with her she got more and more emotionally and psychologically abusive. Mother-In-Law couldn’t keep our cat because she impulsively got a kitten the year before and H’s cat kept hurting her ๐Ÿ™ We found a place that didn’t allow pets. Since it was someone’s condo we were renting out, the actual owner had no problem with the cat and said off the record that it should be fine, just be sneaky about it. Smuggling the cat in and out when we first moved in and for vet appointments was interesting.

It was also my first apartment ever, so I don’t think I realized that there are more options out there than some of us realize. At the time we were just trying to move quickly before it got snatched up.

Hell to the no.

If they didn’t accept pets, then it wouldn’t be my “home”. I wouldn’t choose it.

@Twyla_Smith:  Not a chance. Everyone ends up having different circumstances, but every apartment or house we’ve ever looked at HAS to be pet-friendly. I couldn’t imagine giving away either of our furry monsters.
