I’m just as crazy. If that was the only way to see the color in person and on my bridesmaids I’d get it. I’m doing boxed invitations and I’ve already bought 7 different boxes to test out. That’s from different places with diffrent shipping charges. Sigh. It’s the only way to know for sure.

@tinylittlebird: nyer, $99 is kind of steep, and i do kooky things. for $50 i’d consider it. you should just slap the swatch against their skin… or get like 10 swatches and sew/pin them together and put it against them. is it this color?

I might do it, and I’m not even all that interested in colors.  You can always use the material for something else, or recoup some of your costs reselling the dress.

@tinylittlebird:Oh, yeah…if you sew you’ll totally be able to find use for it.

You could probably order a larger swatch from the vendor. Some vendors sell you a bigger piece for like $10.

But keep in mind the color is going to look different not just on the different skin tones but in different lighting, with different background colors and different in your wedding photos with the camera flash/lighting so it’s hard to really focus on the exact shade.

Selling it is a good option but I bet since you can sew you can do something creative with it too.

I think the colors look funky because of the background and lighting in the different pictures.  They really should photographer everything on a white background.

@tinylittlebird: blech, i see what you mean – it looks rose colored in chiffon. can’t one of the bridal salons get a sample shipped from another store? I’d think if they want your business, they’d be willing to go the extra mile. I would see about that or a larger swatch of the combo or something.

if you can swing $99, i would go for it. you sound like you’re obsessing over this (i would be too!), and peace of mind is worth more than $99!
