I’m in a dilemma and wondering what you girls would do in the same situation. Would you pick:
a) the dress that everyone else liked the best that is said to be most flattering on you, but is somewhat a safe dress who’s style is a bit overdone? Or
b) the dress that you love the best, may not be as flattering on you although still flattering, but is unique enough that some people might not like it?

@sapphiregirl: I went with the dress I liked. I didn’t want to take it off 🙂 To me mine is quite different and unique, and luckily everyone loved it.
Go with which one you feel is the one you really want. As long as you love it that’s all that really matters 🙂 I’m sure your fiance will think you will look beautiful no matter which one you pick.
Hope that helps 🙂

The only person whose opinion of your dress matters…is YOURS. 🙂
When you look at photos of brides in the “maybe” versus the “YES” dress- there’s a smile/confidence/beauty that radiates. If you have that with dress #2, that’s the one to pick.
(also- there’s a lot that alterations can do if you need to adjust the fit)

I went with my more traditional second choice dress, an A-line, instead of a fit-and-flare stunner, but mainly because the fit-and-flare is such a huge departure from what I normally wear that I was worried I’d spend all day fidgeting and fussing with it. Really you should pick what you’ll be most comfortable mentally and physically in. I don’t want all my photos to be of me tugging and fiddling with the dress!

I would go with what you love the most. You only have one wedding day (or at least that’s the goal), so I would take a chance and avoid having any regrets or “what-ifs”.

Go with the unique dress. This is a once in a lifetime day, go with what makes you happy.

I ended up with the flattering safe dress. I do sometimes still have dress regret but for me, I always prefer flattery because of my own insecurities, you know? If my family was all telling me a dress didn’t look good on me I wouldn’t be able to go with it because I wouldn’t feel good about myself.

I went with a big poofy dress. I’ve heard negative feedback from other people but I so don’t care. I love it!

Wen you say b might not be as flattering on you, I think you should go with a. I loved some other dresses too but I want to look my absolute best, so I would pick the most flattering.

Hehehehe I secretly bought the dress that everybody else liked today. Nobody knows. It comes down to the fact that I could NOT stop thinking about the damn thing and it’s super cute! And I waited so long that it was cheaper.
So I am mixed. I think your peeps know what they’re talking about…but you should go with your gut.

I voted for the unique dress.. I went dress shopping by myself because everyone doesn’t have the same style that i have and i took thousands of dress stores and dresses before i knew i found the one. I was a lil worried when i left the store and gave my deposit but i when i got home and looked her up i knew she was the right choice for me because in the end if you aren’t happy with what you are wearing then it will show
