Maybe if I had shopped with you before and knew that you were credible/etc.

However, I wanted to match a particular shade of purple in a tie that i arleady had, so i would have needed at least a fabric swatch before ordering.

If it were just a dress for myself I’d be more willing to risk it…. but when 4 of my best friend’s money is involved… i’m much more leery.

Those dresses are gorgeous! I agree that a no return/exchange policy would scare me off as well. I just purchased a wedding dress through preowned but the bridal shop has a 5 day return policy. I received the dress yesterday, right before work, so I’m hoping I love it when I finally try it on tomorrow! If not, I have to ship it back by Wednesday (it does not have to arrive by Wednesday).

Your bridesmaids dresses are lovely.

It’s an interesting idea. Most bridesmaids dresses are nonreturnable anyway so that wouldn’t make a huge difference. The only thing that stands out to me is that most dress designers can accommodate a huge range of sizes, including petite and tall. Could your vendor do the 00 to 30 range?

i would possibly buy that way.  If it made sense to

do so financial.  I actually don’t think the dresses you posted are far from what I saw when we looked at bm dresses.

CallMeMrsG:  I buy formal dresses from places like lightinthebox unseen and custom sized so there is no return. However their prices are half what you are selling for and I will go for styles that I know suit my body. It doesn’t work 5% of the time but I will just onsell the dress if I really don’t like it.

With bridesmaids dresses I think it is a whole other ball game because you are ordering unseen dresses for more than one person. Too much could be wrong there for me. Also if this is USA based then these bridesmaids would be paying out money for a dress that possible doesn’t fit right and then have to spend more for new dresses.

I like online only and I would be okay with that but only if I did not like them I could do something else.  I think putting that much money upfront and then being stuck with whatever I got, would be way too scary, especially because the girls provide the measurements.
