Would you rather attend a baby shower on a Saturday or Sunday in the summer?

Being that its wedding season, I think a Sunday would be safer than a Saturday. If I had no other plans I honestly wouldn’t care either way though.

Either day if the shower starts around 10 or 11am. I’m a bit fan brunch showers that start late enough to get a weekend workout in beforehand, but which still are over early enough that you have most of the day left once they conclude 🙂

Sunday, brunch time and don’t go too late past lunch.

As others have said Saturday showers just interupt the weekend. I’ve had so many instances with events (not just showers) that are 2-3 hours smack dab in the middle of Saturday and it does kind of ruin any all-day plans, especially travel. During July it would be so common for people to escape to the lake/beach/float trip for the weekend and it would suck to have to NOT go on a trip because a party is smack in the middle of the day in the middle of the weekend. If its on Sunday at least you could be back in time for the shower.

I do cleaning and meal prep and stuff like that on Sunday, but at least if the shower is over by 1-2pm (even 3pm if its a lunch shower) I still have the rest of the evening to spend with Darling Husband and do whatever else for the day.

Sunday, I like to keep my Saturdays open for other activities in the summer.

I prefer Sunday afternoon for low key events such as baby showers, children’s birthdays etc.

Things that are a few hours long, rather than the length of an engagement party, wedding etc.  If I don’t have one of these on a Saturday, I would prefer to use my Saturday to spend with my husband or do activities with friends.

But honestly, you are never going to please anyone.  Make it for the day that suits you best.

Saturdays are my fun day and I don’t enjoy baby showers lol so wouldn’t want to ruin my favourite day of the week, whereas Sundays suck anyway so I wouldn’t be as disappointed.

Depends. Long weekend? Saturday.  Regular weekend? Either.

Saturday, 100%! I like having fun things to go to during the day on Saturday. Sunday’s I like relaxing by the pool, family time, getting ready for the week ahead. MrsGirlyGirl :

MrsGirlyGirl :  I also vote Sunday afternoon. Saturdays are my days to go out and do things and Sundays are more for family/taking it easy/showers/etc. Unless it was someone close to me, I would be slightly annoyed at having to give up a Saturday!

MrsGirlyGirl : Saturday would get my vote. I don’t think people’s vacations would matter but personally Saturday is a doing and more social kind of day whereas a Sunday is more relaxed and family.

Personally, Saturday! Sundays are my lazy “I ain’t doin’ a thing” days and I don’t enjoy having plans right before the week starts.

If I have to go to a bridal/baby shower then I like them best when they fall on a Saturday morning ( brunch snacks/ morning tea styles are my favourite). It gets it over and done with and I can get on with the rest of the weekend. You can tell I am not a huge fan.
