I think if those are your options, I would go with whatever stone has the better cut and clarity. They’ll face up very similarly.  I have a 1.4 carat I color diamond, and I’m a size 5. πŸ™‚

It would really depend on the cut proportions for me.  “Excellent cut” is extremely vague and can mean not-so-excellent in reality.  The color and size are so similar.  If both were cut equally well, I’d go with the larger stone.

sure! I love mine to bits, honestly. It does sometimes get a little “buttery” in certain lights, but it never looks outright yellow. Here’s a picture of how it looks 98% of the time, vs a moment when it happened to be warmer due to some particularly warm evening light (but honestly all stones will pick up colors that are around them to some degree).  I purposely chose the i color because I love warmer stones, so it was perfect for me.  Mine is a VS1 if that helps too.

Thoe options are not much different at all. Definitely I would look into which one has better cut and clarity  out of the two because the teo options you mentioned are practically identical. So both are equally good choices. That is why you must look at the other chatacteristics of the diamond.

When I looked in person I could notice yellow starting at an I level. I have a G and wouldn’t go below a G. Especially in sizes over a carat, I’d say go with the H.

I have an I and it’s always very white and bright to me! Here’s a video if it helps (I tend to think videos help give a better indication of color IRL): https://vimeo.com/182792808

Since their specs are so close, I’d go with whatever one you’re drawn to more.
