you thought you looked a TAD overweight and you thought the make up made you look meh? I was loving my new curves but saw my e pics and um, well, the camera didn’t hide my extra 10 pounds! I was wearing a coat in most of them but sheesh! I have since lost the extra weight so I am back to what I am used to looking like. Anyway my pics were free (won a contest) so I’m not losing $. I really dont like the closeups he got of us. It just doesnt look at all like me(She did a great job on make up but in the pics…it just looks like its too much). I bought a bunch of frames for decor and there aren’t enough “good” pics to put in them. Would you retake? Or just scrap the frames? I really wanted frames.

Well, if you have the money and you don’t like the original shots, then by all means, make yourself happy!
But honestly? I’d spring for boudoir shots instead and save the frames for shots from your wedding that you like 🙂

Well, if I was really unhappy with them and I had the budget for them (since they were free the 1st time aorund) I would re-take. Are you planning on using them for anything besides decor…save the dates, thanks you’s, table numbers? If so, IMO I would want to be very happy with them since so many people will be seeing them. If your worried about having enough to fill frames and don’t have it in your budget for a full on e-shoot, you can always do some DIY crops and recolor (change to B&W, sephia, ect.) on your computer photo editor or on sites such as Snapfish or Shutterfly.

defintly agree with BothCoasts- go for the boudoir- future hubby will enjoy those more than e-pics 😉

give yourself a treat and retake them!! these were free, so technically don’t count 😉

I tried the shutterfly thing but it says the resolution isn’t good enough for prints, i’m wondering if i should buy the print from him ( $7 for a 4×6) and scan it to use on shutter fly, ( I want a 20×30 which is over $300 through the photographer). I love some of them and hate most of them. Budget wise…I had a friend who does amatuer photography ( He is REALLY GOOD) offer to do them for free. I am gonna pay him though. We are over budget but agreed to put more money into a couple of areas of the wedding. Because of this, money is a bit tighter. Fiance has a verbal offer for a new job that makes 25-30K more than what he does right now. We are waitng til it is all official before spending more $.
