Yes! This could turn into something serious and safety comes first!

Eh, it's just to my cell. They'll never find me so probably not, no.

    Other - please explain!

@CestTresJolie14:  You are not overreacting by being shaky and surprised at this behavior.

But I wouldn’t call the cops on this.

I wouldn’t bother filing a police report. she doesn’t even know who you are or where you live.

ETA have you gotten any phone calls since the conversation your brother had with her?

I bet some girl wrote her number down and gave it to the guy but she gave him a fake number that just happened to be yours. I can’t tell you what I’d do in that situation… I’d probably let it go unless it keeps happening then I’d go to the police as well as block her number (though that may not help either as she could just start calling from different numbers…) In which case if you haven’t by that point I’d go to the police and see how they can help.

I think make a note of the call (when it happened, what was said, the number, etc.), and wait and see if she calls again. If she keeps calling after you’ve said she’s got the wrong number, then I would take it to the police/file a report

I would just let it go as one of those weird and disturbing things that happen. As long as the calls stop now you should be fine. But if you keep getting calls then yeah, I’d say report it (I work for the police so I can tell you probably nothing will be done but at least it’s documented). Have you tried googling her number? Sometimes you can find out a lot from that.

@CestTresJolie14:  I am sure you are just over thinking it. It would be pretty hard for her to find your address from your phone (just like it would be hard for you to find hers). Just keep those texts just in case.

She sounds like a real winner! LOL

At this point, I wouldn’t call the police. First, you told her not to call again. See if she sticks to that. If she does not, that’s when you block her # and possibly file a police report.

I know the feeling hun.   I had one of those stupid Indian “Windows” virus scammers call up and normally I like to fool around because it amuses me that they are wasting their own money/credit for nothing.

This particular call,  I was “transfered” from a female (who was obviously reading from a script) to a guy, I said the guy was cute and asked if he had a girlfriend.  He said he “had to go to the toilet” and then I was put on to the “manager supervisor” who went by the name of John Matthews.

Now normally I go “OMG was the virus caused by pornography?”  then I go on some epic adventure that my “husband” was cheating on me and he was looking at porn and that I caught him and we looked at porn.   This guy was really getting in to it.  Then he asked how much for sex and I said “Never lower then $2000.00”.   Then the guy said he was coming around in a few days time.

I scoffed and said “Your in India how would you afford to see me.”  To which he said he was from the city and he had my address (obviously anyone can get my address).  I freaked out and hung up.

My SO luckly was staying the night because the next morning I got a call at 6:45am from “John Matthews”wanting to talk to me.    Six times between 6:45 am to 8:00 am he called.  When I picked up the phone he was egar to start talking dirty to me and to “arrange” a meeting.

I passed the phone to SO and SO told him to stop calling and “John” didn’t.  Until finally I yelled at him to leave me alone and that if he was from “Windows” that he isn’t being professional.   With SO in the background telling him to bugger off.  Finally I had enough and told him I was getting the police involved.

Which SO and I did go to the station and filed a complaint.  The cop was super nice and he could see I was pretty stressed.   Of course nothing came of it.  But it went through on their records.  All I had to do was leave my name, date of birth and contact details.  It was simple as that.
