I have seen chargers for $1 at the dollar store, but even still yours are pretty close to being the price.

If it was in my budget and I thought I could sell them for about the same cost then I would go for it.  It adds a lot to a table and you may be able to cut back on other decor or the centerpieces since they will bring a lot of color and pizazz to the room.  (assuming it was in my budget)

I probably would… I ended up not being able to afford them though and went with luxurious linens and clear plates…  It definitely isn’t a must have but I think it definitely adds something

I would and I did. I spent money on the chargers, instead of alternate linens, and I don’t regret it at all. And I think they will add elegance to the tables on the day of.

I actually was able to get a REALLY good deal on chargers from someone on craigslist. They aren’t the color that I want so I will be spray painting them to the color that I want them to be.

The color I want my chargers to be is teal blue which is EXTREMELY difficult to find and when it is found it’s very expensive, so this is more cost effective for me.

I say “Go for it” if you can afford to, especially if they are the color you desire.  Otherwise, you might want to look at Hobby Lobby, as they often have great specials.  I would think that you would be able to “reclaim” some of the cost by selling them on Craigslist, Wedding Bee, or other sites.  Good luck!

I was looking to rent some embroidered overlays or table runners for my daughters wedding. I wasn’t having any luck finding what my daughter wanted. If something was close- it was too high of a price even though she is having a small wedding (about 75 guests- maybe less). I heard about plate chargers on sale in Christmas Tree Shoppes for $1 each and they had a 20% off coupon! My daughter loved the idea- so we spent a lot less on the chargers instead the fancier tables linens. I think it completes the look of the tables especially since she is having simpler centerpieces. Her colors are burgundy, ivory and gold- so I bought the gold chargers. It’s going to look gorgeous!

I would and did as well. I actually bought mine from another bride off of the bee classifieds! She charged me a buck a piece and they’re perfect.

I wouldn’t. I think I’m the only one. If you are unsure about spending that much money and your heart isn’t set on it, maybe it would be find without them!

I would for sure.  You can probably resell them for at least $1.00 a piece.

@jackie_t4701: I wanted them in a bad way, but could not find them in my colour ( a green or purple) but i did find brown ones but the cheapest I could get them to was 3.50 a piece….so i didnt 🙁

I would say go for it just because at 1.00 a piece you could turn around and sell them at maybe .75 piece later and someone will DEFINITELY buy them.

@Baileyh:  My local michaels has green and purple chargers right now. They are a dark green and purple. They are $1.99 The purple was really pretty. So if you have a local michaels you should check it out.
