MrsGirlyGirl :  I don’t know exactly where it came from, but I know the jewelry store my fiance bought my ring from sourced the stone for him.  Mine is 1.41 carats, I color, VVS1, XXX and I believe it cost somewhere around $4500.  So it sounds like we were in a similar pricing ballpark.

MrsGirlyGirl :  Love it!! I’m hoping to get a lab diamond too. Just curious, what was your husband’s reaction when you first told him about lab diamonds? I’m pretty sure my boyfriend has never heard of them so I’ll have to introduce him and I’m wondering if he’ll need a little convincing. Like you, I just don’t see why I wouldn’t go for a beautiful, real, conflict free, less expensive diamond!!

MrsGirlyGirl :  thanks. I talked to mine and I think he gets the lab part, but he really doesn’t like the idea of ordering a diamond online and spending thousands of dollars on something he hasn’t seen in person. I totally get where he’s coming from, but I’m pretty set on it so we’ll see what happens.
