I went to a jewelry store a couple of days ago, and found a yellow diamond cushion cut halo engagement ring that I absolutely fell in love with the second I put it on.
The lady who was helping me said that she would never want a yellow diamond engagement ring because people would always think it was a yellow sapphire.
So ladies, if you saw a yellow diamond would you think it was a sapphire or a diamond?

Honestly, I probably wouldn’t think it was a diamond…but also, who cares. If it’s gorgeous and what you love, then it shouldn’t matter.
My jeweler has a yellow diamond and it’s breathtaking. I probably wouldn’t have known it was a diamond if she hadn’t told me, but I didn’t think any less of it either.

I wouldn’t think it was a diamond but I’m clueless about jewelry in general. For example I’d never even heard of moissante or asha before joining this site.
Does it matter what people think it is if you love it?

Maybe, but who cares. Aren’t sapphires rarer anyway?

My birthstone is Sapphire so I think any colored stone is one. Its beautiful regardless. Do what makes your heart sing.

It doesn’t matter to me because I have loved yellow diamonds forever anyways, I was just shocked. When I see a ring on an engagement ring that is yellow I always assume it is a diamond, but apparently I’m a minority.

I voted no because I wouldn’t know what stone it was, but it’s beautiful!

My friend just got a yellow diamond and I love it an it’s absolutely amazing. I don’t think anyone said anything to her about it being a sapphire.

I probably wouldn’t think it was a diamond, but I wouldn’t care one way or another.
It’s a pretty and unique ring. I’d think better of you for not having a cookie cutter ring, not worse because I didn’t know what the stone was, lol.

I wouldn’t think it was a diamond. (I didn’t even know yellow diamonds existed until I came to weddingbee!)

I would probably think it’s a yellow quartz or citrine but who cares. the ring is gorgeous!

I would think it was a yellow diamond if I saw it, mostly because I don’t really know what other yellow stones are out there. I think it’s stunning (: go with what you want to see on your finger everyday haha

Gorgeous! Really pretty on your hand, too 🙂

I would probably think it was citrine. Or a diamond. Sapphire wouldn’t have crossed my mind though.
