Have you cleaned it recently? A good cleaning always makes mine look bigger and brighter.

@SomedayHisBride:  It’s kind of strange to call someone’s behavior passive aggressive while making passive aggressive comments such as “I’ll just let the mods decide”.

OP, I like smaller emerald cuts. Why don’t you try going a day or two without the ring on your hand? Like anything else, once you get used to the ring on your finger, it may seem smaller than it did originally. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I don’t think that the stone is too small and actually think that it looks lovely on your hand!  But, if this is something that bothers you still, may I suggest a different setting?  A thinner band could make the stone look larger in comparison.

To me personally it appears smaller because of your long fingers but I still wouldn’t call it “small”

Your ring is beautiful! Mine is only .67 carats and it is just as big as I need it to be! Yours is lovely!

@daisymae900:  Not small it all! It’s beautiful.  My halo cluster has a 1/2″ diameter and it has literally shrunk right before my eyes. I’m of the opinion that one of

the worse things anyone can do to themselves is compare their ering to others because we all have different styles and budgets.  Not implying that you can’t afford bigger or more expensive,  just saying that diamonds are wayyyyyy expensive and I felt very fortunate that my Fiance found an ering that I loved at first sight and didn’t require him to lose an arm n a leg. My ring is far from being popular on the bee, and I swear it still baffles me that others don’t see the beauty that I see in Daisy! HeHe.

I have a .8-something princess cut with a bezel, and it definitely looks a bit smaller I find with the bezel (kind of overshadowed) and I’m also a 5. I wouldn’t think the ring is small at all, it’s beautiful on you, and as long as you feel it fits with who you are/what you want/your lifestyle, then it doesn’t matter how big it looks or doesn’t look 🙂

@daisymae900:  I’d say heck no but that’s because we are ring twinsies- almost (mine’s a bit smaller and the diamond is set up higher & my side band is channel set). Mine is even a bit smaller than yours (around .5 carats) and I think it’s perfect! I thought mine looked a little small, then I got the band on our wedding day & I LOVE the way they look together. However, if you are truly unhappy with it then it sounds like something needs to be done- either tinkering with the setting or upgrading…

Here’s my similar style set together (size 5/5.5) if you want to get an idea how it might look with a simple matching band, and if you wanted to get the prongs re-done to raise it up a little more:

I think it’s the perfect size! I have a .8 on a size 8 so you definitely have more coverge than me and I never think mine is too small :).

@daisymae900:  I have almost the exact same ring, i think mine is also around .75 (not sure) and I love it.  I have very small hands so I feel it works perfectly for me plus i didnt want a big ring sticking up off my finger for me to knock off of things.  But the one comment people have that bugs me the most is “aww its so CUTE”!  i dont know why but that drives me nuts! why cant it be beautiful or gorgeous, cute just implies that its small and I have a hard time not taking offense when people say that.  But as long as youre happy with it it doesnt matter what people think or say.

I think it fits your hand nicely.  Ultimately though, its you who will wear it.  If you don’t like the size and want something different and your fiance isn’t bothered by that then go for it.  But, if its just the size of the stone on your hand I think it works very well. 🙂

As someone who has a 1/4ct. ring, I say no, not small 🙂
