Well for mine she is her own boss and has been established for YEARS … She’s coming in from another province for us and we’ve paid her by 3 post dated chq’s… the last to come out 2 weeks before the wedding…so…I dont even know how I would tip her? I mean when your paying several thousand dollars for a shoot what exactly do you do….

When her paid time is up for the day dinner will just be started but her and her assistant will be staying for dinner (6 course meal)

When its all said and done I was thinking of possibly sending her (or having it there) a gift card (not sure what yet) and a bouquet of flowers…but cashwise?? no idea

I photography weddings part-time (my own business) and rarely receive tips. That being said… I think I would be a little miffed if someone tipped my assistant and not me.

Of course I would!!
Our photographer owns his own business, he’s a friend of my fiance’s, and he’s shooting our wedding by himself… we will, of course, be tipping him genereously because we know he’s going out of his way for us.
We’d do it whether he was our friend or not – he’s just so damn likable!

As for the e-pics, we probably won’t tip at the time of the shoot (but we’ll try to buy him coffee or bring him food), since they are included in the total package. Our final tip (whatever it winds up being) will reflect the e-pic shoot.
