I would have loved to wear a blackdress like this:
But bottled it and choose ivory but i’m adding a black sash. I think blue is easier to wear so do it. I think if its what you want, then you should have it x

Of course I’d give color a try. Even if I ultimately end up wearing white, I’d prefer a pattern in another color. I’m surprised how many bees would end up trying color in this poll – I always assumed most bees would never consider themselves bold enough or would find that it doesn’t mesh with their personal wedding day visions.

Yep. I’m going to rock the shit out of a blue dress!

I would try one on, just to see but I don’t think I’d have the guts to actually wear on on our wedding day.

yes, why not.my best friend wore a red one that she ordered custom made online from http://www.7foxmall.com. the dress is well tailored that we didnt would have guess she bought it online. the dress is a success and fit into her theme.

I say go for it if you’ve not picked your Dress already.
I am having a coloured dress, its aubergine/eggplant. I couldn’t be any happier with my choice.

I wouldn’t go that bold but a light blue, blush, gold or something I would be open to. It’s a pretty dress but when the color is that dark it reminds me of a prom dress, not bridal dress.

I’d try one on, but I probably wouldn’t wear a colored dress to my wedding. I have an ivory (it’s more of a light tan than an ivory) dress that I’m adding a purple sash to.
I love some of the black dresses I’ve seen, though.

Why not? Have some fun with it? As previously posted it was until Queen Victoria did it that it became popular, and many Victorian Era brides still didn’t wear white because it wasn’t a pratical color.
The whole white thing is overdone, in my opinion.

@Sugaree: Beautiful red gown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m getting married eight days after you! If I choose Feb 2013 I wold have done a red gown, with my girls in black, and the guys in black tux, red vest/tie, and white shirts, with all white roses for the bouquets, black fur wraps for the girls for outdoor photos, and a white winter cape for me. My fiance hated the idea, so we choose January, since we wanted a winter wedding either way. I’m wearing a white gown, and my colors are plum and black.

Nude or sherberty colours I would wear for sure. Bold colours, no way.
