Hello, girlies 🙂 I have finished a mockup of my semi-DIY invites and need some feedback.
The invitation and reception cards are being professionally printed:
Many of our guests will be traveling to attend our wedding, and I want to provide a ‘packet’ where all the info can be kept in one place by making pocketfold envelopes. Here’s what I came up with…
I used invite samples as placeholders in the pocketfold.
The question is, do these look too ‘handmade’ or are they just right? Honest opinions and suggestions for improvement are welcome 🙂
Well, I don’t have the patience to wait 24 hours for a silly piece of silver paper. Whaddya think of this version? And see below for my comment regarding the heart and our STD envelopes. Thanks!

It doesn’t look DIY at all!!!!! Very nice! The rounded corners on the pocket fold are wonderful!

@helenberrycrunch: Hee hee, I do need a day-of coordinator 🙂
When we started planning, Fiance said ‘too much pink’. So we went round and round the color wheel and somehow ended up right where I wanted – I have a pink dress, pink ties for the boys, and very pink invites. Yay pink!
@bakerella: Thanks! Fiance thinks so too, just needed outside opinions to confirm they don’t look too amateur 🙂

Way too pink for me. I would like, ohhhh lesbians? I kid a little but yeah I’m not a fan of girly wedding colors only because I feel bad for the gentlemen.

You girls are so great! Thanks for your comments 🙂
I’ll probably need a new corner rounder after punching through 3-pg thickness. It’ll be easier than trying to separately punch the corners and then affixing with adhesive. Good thing I have three months to make 160 of these babies!

@vmec: Thanks for your honesty! Our palette is silver and pink [with pops of purple, yellow and red in our flowers]. Maybe I’ll try another with silver cardstock for comparison…

More silver would definately be a little more gender neutral IMO though. They are pretty but too girly. I’d say for a bridal shower AWESOME.

I think they are gorgeous, but I also think that the heart closure takes them over the girly edge. Maybe just a circle instead of a heart? If I were a guy, I think i’d appreciate that you chose either pink OR hearts, not both…

I love them!!! They’re freakin’ gorgeous!! And I adore the pink!

If I got that in the mail, I would be tickled pink.
har har har. I slay myself. Ok, I better stop before I hurt myself.
I also think a little more silver would be a great addition and agree with changing out the heart if you’re open to that.
