The great and terrible thing about wedding gowns is that very few people pay close attention to the details. Pretty much just ourselves, maybe our moms/sisters/closest friends, and maybe a handful of other people, actually notice and could differentiate between one long, white (or whitish) dress and another. To the rest of the world … eh, it’s a white dress. They might notice that it’s lacy or something.

Okay, if it had huge poofy shoulders and came to a point on the top of your hands, some people might notice and think, “Hmm, that looks a little dated.” But a gown that was designed within the past few years? You have nothing to worry about.

Mine is an Allure that was from Spring of 2010 if I’m not mistaken. It was set to be discontinued two weeks after I bought it. Didn’t change my feelings on it one bit.

@Genny1687:  Unless most of your guests are recent brides or brides to be I think you are good. Get what you love because in the end that is all that matters.

Post pics once you get the dress!

Yes! Mine was two or three years old when I got it, but who would honestly notice that? It was the dress I wanted and loved, so that’s what matters!

Yes! My dress came out in spring 2010 when I wasn’t even thinking about a wedding. But I absolutely love it, and can’t imagine wearing anything else. Go for it!

Absoloutley! I don’t think Jenna is outdated at all. Ruffles are still very in with all the new designer lines.

One of the most beautiful gowns that I have ever seen was made in the 50s… in bridal, I don’t think there is truly an outdated style… some aren’t as popular as others, but if a girl loves it then she should wear it!

I’m pretty sure mine’s been made since 2007. Unless David Tutera is on your guest list, I wouldn’t worry about it.

My dress was from the Fall of 2009.  I loved it, and had no problems!
