I’m having trouble figuring out if this dress needs a necklace or not. My mother wants me to wear pearls and one of my aunts has offered to loan me hers. I’m not convined I need them.
What do you think? Would you wear a necklace with this dress?
By The Way, I’ve seen a few brides wear this dress (and the full skirted “sister” dress, the Blakely) and none have had necklaces on. That might be influencing me right now

Not if you have awesome colar bones like the model! But this dress could work with a necklace IMO as the strap is kind of off to the side… 🙂 Nice dress!
You can always try it on with and without!

Definitely not. It doesn’t work (IMO) with the asymmetrical look.

Don’t wear it, it will take away from the detail of the dress and create visual confusion. You want for the detail on the dress to draw the eye to your face. If you put on a necklace it’s going to draw attention to your neck and chest.

My collar bones, in a different dress are below. They aren’t as deep as the model’s, but…oh my gosh, I can’t believe I’m staring at my collar bones, trying to decide if they are pretty enough.
HAHAHA! I love you ladies. Without you, I’d drive myself crazy with this wedding stuff. 🙂

Someone just voted yes, but didn’t explain. 🙁

No necklace! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride in a one shoulder dress with a necklace. It’d look pretty weird, IMO.

Nope. Less is more with one shouldered gowns.

I think either nothing at all or a simple pendant would work with a one-shoulder dress like this; a pendant because the chain would fall in such a way as to follow the same angle as the strap. But not a choker or a necklace that has a circular shape to it. I’d more likely opt for some wildly ornate chandelier earrings. 🙂

Probably not… but if you have something that you REALLY want to wear, if it’s small and short so it hit right at the collar bone, maybe?

Rock a sparkling cuff bracelet and some earrings instead 🙂

I voted yes. I showed my fiance, and he thinks a necklace with a long chain thing hanging down the back would be nice.

Beautiful drop earrings? Yes!

Nooooooooope. It would ruin the line and completely take away any attention from the structure of the gown. I’d go for some gorgeous drop earrings like @napabridekelsey suggested!
