I see 🙂  I guess I shouldn’t respond since I’m not a military wife so I can’t know what I would do!  I think I would not wear those as even though I understand the whole family does sacrifice, the men and women who are actually serving are really the ones putting thier lives on the line.  For certain, I wouldn’t wear a “daughter/neice” type shirt… LOL.

@shootznladrz89:  As a Marine fiance I can totally relate to this.  When he first graduated boot camp I was all about it just because I was proud of him and wanted to brag about him, I had bumper stickers on my car and all that.  About a year ago I decided that wasn’t what our relationship was about.  I took the bumper stickers off and got rid of the shirts.  I don’t put on his cammies as it’s not a huge deal to us anymore.  I think it’s something that people go through in stages, I had to get it out of my system and now we are completely happy and never even really give it a second thought.

MY VIEW IS NOT WHAT IT USE TO BE ON THIS. Im not huge into wearing stuff myself…I use to think it was pretty darn cheesy for people to wear stuff that says Wife/Girlfriend/Husband whatever of whatever branch….but then I read a great article from a military wife.

We cheer for our favorite sports teams and proudly display a jersey on game days (just for example)…so how is this any different? When did it become taboo or cheesy to wear something that supports something that takes a large role in our life? Lets be honest…it does. More so than any sports team would, yet we question if its “cool” or not to wear “Navy/Army/Marine/USAF/ CG” On our shirt?

Im prior Active duty myself.

If its for you and your liking doesnt matter. I dont wear it. But I think its great for those who do. Heck yeah. Have some pride in our men and women in uniform. We arent saying it defines us….I see it as “cheering for our favorite team” now.

@shootznladrz89:  I have one Army shirt that Fiance bought for me.  It says Army LOVE (with love in bright pink) and includes the DS motto “this we’ll defend”.   So I do wear it but mostly because he took the time to pick one out for me before returning from DS school.   It was sweet.  🙂
