… because you’re not the “right candidate.”
I worked one day with this company and I thought it went very well. The owner was impressed how much I got done, including me in future events and was even telling me what else I was going to be trained in. The owner asked me if I can work on Tuesday to learn more.
It’s a fairly new company and they’re still working on scheduling and what direction they’re business is going.
But then, I get an email today saying that he’ll be working from home tomorrow, but he’s going to still look for the right candidate and if I’ll be interested in helping as a temp in the meantime. I was a little taken back. I thought everything went well and since he was including me in future events and talking about teaching me more about the company that I was pretty much hired.
My husband does well with his job alone, but I know if I work it’ll help out a bit for extra money and for myself. So it’s not urgent that I work, but I want to. I just feel a little annoyed that I’ll be working there just to be let go, to be replaced. I know I’ll be getting paid and it’s for the money, but I was really looking forward to being apart of this company and now I feel like I’ll be bitter to work there just to be let go. Maybe it’s my pride talking but I almost want to so f*** your job. Lol.
Would you work there just for the money until they found someone else? Or would your pride/ego get in the way and say no thanks? I kinda feel like I’m not a right candidate to work there full time but good enough to work temp? Like if I’m being used, but money is money, right? Lol
