Honestly, I literally could not drink more than a few glasses of champagne. My dress was too tight to consume large amounts of food or liquid and you’re going to be pulled in all different directions by people. I barely had a chance to eat or drink at all.

Is there anyone you could assign to making sure you don’t get too crazy?

My aunt recently got married and I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man… Like @hilsy85: said, during the wedding she barely had time to drink because she was being pulled in a million directions. The after party however, is another story….. 😉

I don’t plan on drinking more than two drinks max.  I want to be able to remember my wedding!

@dolce bella: Ha ha, even still, it can’t hurt. 🙂 You might be thankful you did it later!

Champagne right after the ceremony and, um, I sipped all night. Switched to wine at the restaurant and then we bought everyone a shot on top of the wine…I’d say I was pretty tipsy but not drunk by the end of the night. I do regret it a teensy bit because I was really really (did I say really?) tired the next day and we were leaving for the honeymoon.

But since Hubby drank as much as me, and it wasn’t an all out drunk – It was ok !

A guest, however, got WASTED and fell asleep at the dinner table !

I had quite a few drinks but at the end of the night I didn’t know if I was buzzed or just wicked, wicked tired. I did not want to drink too much at our reception; at our after party I could’ve given a flying fudge, that was the time to let my hair down 🙂

I plan on having a couple drinks!!! I might have the hubby moniter me, I’m a sucker for good mixed drinks.

We have a very small guestlist, so I’m not worried about the being pulled around/not getting to eat thing 🙂

@Belle2Be: Haha, ah I am jealous of your small guest list! I want to have a few drinks and enjoy myself!! I think I will have my Maid/Matron of Honor on duty to refill my glass when it’s empty rather than have her tell me to slow down like @Gemstone: suggested. 😉

I got a little tipsy on purpose. It was a party, after all. I had maybe 4 drinks all night, though–no hangover, no forgetting anything, just a happy little buzz going on.
