Ok – it finally hit this morning – I am getting MARRIED!!
I guess it needed to get to the month.
So happy April all – during the next 30 days you will all become wives and here is to all of you wishing you a happy long fulfilling marriage with a wonderful partner to face all of lifes ups and downs.
So we are tracking down the straggling RSVP and while we invited 80 we only really wanted 60 because of venue space – we currently are at 59 so pretty sure we will be there or maybe 1 more.
Projects are almost done – should finish them this week.
Dress – done
only thing I have left to do is find shoes for my flower girl – her mom is on my list right now but mostly laughing about it too – in the scheme of life it is not a huge deal 🙂
So how are you – where are you – are you ready – this is it – SHOW TIME LOL

@unixfairy: less than 2 weeks for you now. how exciting!
our rsvp deadline was yesterday and i have not heard from only 1 couple, a friend and her husband. i think that’s pretty good. mind you, it is a small wedding (40 ppl). this week i managed to accomplish a lot of projects and little details. it feels like it’s all coming together.

- Wedding: April 2012 - St. Philip Catholic Church/Arcadia Brewing Co.
Oh my gosh! THIS MONTH! My goodness where did the time go. As of today, we are only waiting on RSVPs from 2 people and we are supposed to hear back from them today. As far as DIYs go… Well we are not quite done yet… but pretty close. I think I will be one to use all of my available time! Oh well! Happy Wedding Month!

We have one outstanding RSVP, but at this point, we’re assuming he’s not coming – it’s a friend of FI’s, and he sent him a message and got no response. Fine with me since we’re already 13 people above what we wanted for attendance – who knew we were so popular? 😉
For DIY’s, we just have to finish printing out programs. Amazingly enough, everything else is finished.
Even though we’ve been engaged for sixteen months, and those sixteen months flew by, I have a feeling that the next two weeks are going to drag by. Happy wedding month!

my last rsvp emailed me last night to apologize for not sending their reply in yet but they are coming. so, they are all in. i have already completed my seating plan. i found a seating plan on wedding wire and it’s great. very user friendly. i also have the meal choices breakdown for my caterer ready to go.

YAY! Happy Wedding Month!!! Less than 3 weeks & while I feel like i have TONS to do- in reality- I don’t have that much. Just need to tie up some loose ends. Enjoy the last few weeks of being a single lady! =)

I can’t believe it’s April – holy cow, ladies! I don’t know about you, but after a year and a half of engagement, I’m ready for this… well, in mind, but definitely not in the DIY aspect ahhh. I still have a LOT to do (and this is no joke; the DIY list is still one entire .doc page long), but luckily I am dedicating 100% of my time to the wedding right now so I am confident that it will all get done.
We are only inviting about 100 guests and our RSVP respond-by date was a few days ago, but unfortunately we’re hunting down about 12 RSVPs that remain. It’s so irritating. I mean, the postcard was stamped and ready to go in the mailbox – all our guests have to do is write their names down and check a box! Is that so hard to do?!

@unixfairy: Yayyy!!! Only a couple more weeks for you!
I’m still chasing down a couple folks that are avoiding me but I’m about to put them on my No list because I shouldn’t have to chase grown people down.
I am DIYing the menus and out-of-town bags. Also finalizing my accessories and I have my last fitting in a couple weeks. EEK!

Im getting married in 3 days!! Omg where did the time go!! The feeling actually hit me on sunday, im so nervous but ofcourse so excited!! We have 2 big things left to do and thats to go get our marriage license and to go get FI’s ring lol! We are doing that tomorrow. woo hoo!! so close!!!
I still need to book our transportation from the airport to the hotel.
I just had my final fitting on Sunday.
I had to send my ring back for sizing. It was too tight with the band.
The weekend we are going to pickup FI’s new suit and pick a shirt and tie.
Still need to color my hair and whiten my teeth!!

so exciting!! good luck with everything.
we are still working on our music playlist. my fi is awesome but he is such a procrastinator. other than my pomanders that i will assemble back in ontario, my diy projects are done. mostly everything seems to be falling in place.

I can’t believe that this is our month either!! I’m sooo grateful for booking a wedding on the last weekend of the month so I feel like I have soooo much time, but I know I don’t…haha. We are just tying up the loose ends now. We are still missing like 20 RSVP’s even though they were due 3/31/12. I agree with how hard is it to check off a box and a meal and stick it in the mail. With 145 invited I guess 20 isn’t toooo bad. My list of to do’s is….Final dress fitting next Thursday, trying to finalize a hairstyle (…ugh), next week doing my trial hair/color/highlights and not sure what we are doing about makeup, gifts for the bridal party-both sides, need to make favors-chocolates, figure out all of the music, finalize flowers, get reception shoes, table numbers, place cards, photo wall, DIY Aisle Runner, book a rehearsal dinner place, figure out how to decorate the ceremony area, get something for guests to sign like the matting for our engagement pics (FI wanted this…), jewelry and veil. OMG I didn’t realize how much was really left…this makes me stressed now!! GOOOOOOD LUCK to all of my fellow April brides! Enjoy this time and we must make sure we relax! Can’t wait to see how the first weekend of weddings goes!

i haven’t gone for my hair trial either. it’s scheduled a week before the wedding along with a cut (luckily i don’t colour). i have no idea how i am wearing my hair. good luck with all of your diy projects.

Ha we finally got our last RSVP – venue holds 60 and our final guest count (including us and the bridal party)
60 OMG we were sweating this one – we could have squeezed in 10 more but it would have been so crowded.
almost done with all of the projects – have 13 more favor bags to finish, 1 stupid pomander (ran out of pins) and the escort cards which are about halfway done
Music is all selected and we are just putting it in order now.
10 more days – it seems surreal 🙂

We’ve had to hassle about 10 couples for their RSVP’s that were due on 4/1 – so far we’ve gotten verbal responses from almost everyone, hopefully we have it all pinned down by the end of the week. We built in plenty of time for the responses, but I’ll feel great once it’s all in and done – another checkmark on my list! I think we’re making good progress – we’re so anxious for the weekend to arrive!
- Make music choices so we can hand it off to the DJ
- Finalize our Ceremony Details (we are still debating about having readings and a wine ceremony)
- Work with our ‘Welcome Cocktails’ venue so that we can decide how much liquor and food to serve
- Place final order for dessert buffet from bakery
- Assemble our fresh flower favors two days before the wedding
- Order day-of breakfast and lunch platters to have for everyone getting ready at the hotel before the festivities start
One thing I’m trying to do is to unsubscribe from all the Wedding related RSS feeds that I’ve been stalking for the past 18 months. At this point, I don’t want anymore ideas to obsess about…I think this site will be the only one that I allow myself to go to for advice and ideas.
