So Fiance and I will be married in 2 months. We decided to pull the goalie during my ovulation this month, because, well, we weren’t sure how fertile we would be. He had cancer last year and lost a testicle, and I didn’t want to wait much longer to have children because I will be 31 soon.
So, I was charting for a few months to get a feel for my cycle, and I found that I am very clockwork, despite being overweight. Two weeks on the dot after my ovulation, I tested, and BOOM, pregnant!
I can’t tell anyone because it is so soon. My boss won’t be thrilled because he is starting his own business Monday, and it is a huge stressor to lose me for 6 weeks (Late November). Also, because we are changing firms, I won’t have insurance until I can piggy-back on my fiance’s in two months.
I am not worried about the wedding, because I won’t be showing, and we won’t tell people until after the wedding anyway.
we are super excited though! Right now, I am just inside my 5th week. I have a couple of mild symptoms right now, but nothing bad at all. I am just trying to stay calm and NOT blab our news to everyone we see.

My story is similar to yours. My Fiance and I were supposed to get married in Sept and I stopped BC 3 months ago because I hated the moodswings it gave me and I wanted to get it all out of my system since we were going to try for a baby right after the wedding. And then of course I got pregnant and now we’ve moved the wedding date to June. I’m 6wks along today and alternate between dying to tell everyone and wanting to keep my mouth shut because it’s still early.
Don’t stress about your boss. Life happens. Just focus on keeping yourself healthy. Good luck with everything!

@SweetandSimple: wow my story sounds very similar to urs. I am nearly 31, married 3 weeks just started trying cant test for another week (freaking out/so impatient to know if am pregnant!) & my now husband had testicular cancer 12 years ago & they removed one testicle. he also had radiation & they froze sperm just in case but they said he would be fine. congratulations love to hear nice stories like this!
