Weird.  That happened to me once.  Some guy called me and started getting angry when I said I didn’t know who he was.  I finally got it through his head that I wasn’t the Jessica girl he was looking for, and there was silence for a moment… Followed by, “So.  How YOU doing?”

@GreenEyedMoon: I had a similar thing happen to me a few months ago. This guy starts text messaging me, really really late at night, convinced I’m some girl he met named Ariel. Did not believe me when I said she must have given him the wrong (purposely or not) number, and to please stop texting me. He then proceeded to send me a naked picture of himself. EWW!!!

He finally got a clue when my very angry husband called and threatened to pull out his eyeballs if he didn’t leave me alone. Still not sure if he ever really believed that I wasn’t Ariel, but probably decided I/she wasn’t worth the trouble.

These stories are so weird, and it’s kind of crazy how many of us have had experiences like this. I once received a phone call from a number I didn’t recognize, so I didn’t pick up (I was also at work). There was a voicemail, so I assumed it was from the doctor’s office or something, but when I checked it, it was a guy saying he had called the wrong number, but because I sounded “cute” in my message, he wanted to give me his number so I could call him back and go out with him. Yeah right. I was already dating SO at this point, and anyway, I don’t go out with creepers who I’ve never met and leave me strange voicemails.

I know, right? I doubt many women would even considering calling him back, so I guess it’s no skin off his teeth to at least try. Though I must say, he didn’t sound “cute” in the least!
