We have it all down. today it became real. I finally got my dress! Now as we journey through the rest of the planning I am getting more nervous. I cant wait to spend my life with him. We have been thrift shopping most of the items for t he wedding.
Has anyone shopped mainly walmart, dollar store and thrift store for there weddings?

I’ve been using as many resources as I can. I’ve gotten quite a few crafting supplies at Wal Mart and I’m going to check out the Dollar store for glass candle holders for my centerpieces.

- Wedding: May 2010 - Carlouel Yacht Club
Since I have a while still until my wedding in May 2010, I’ve been starting to slowly accumulate items that I like (ex – Martha Stewart pom kits at Michaels) by using 40% off coupons, keeping an eye out for sales, etc. I feel so much more satisfied when I get a good deal then when I pay full price! And, you never know where you’ll stumble upon something great!

It’s easier to get the best deals and save a lot when you have more time on your hands. But since there’s only a month left, it might be harder to not splurge on items or services you really would like to have for your wedding.

It’s such a great idea to buy little things from the beginning!! The big payments like florist, venue, music, etc are already huge, but all those little things? Those are really making a dent in my paychecks!
Table number holders, pomanders, paper for various projects, etc etc and then what always happens: “Oh! I think I’ll emboss this even though I’ve never embossed anything before. Time to buy powder and a heat tool.” It adds up so fast and I’m so glad I started buying little things months ago!

I have accumulated a lot of the items I need. This next paycheck is flowers, we are doing silks, and then some of my items for my dress and the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor dresses and shoes.
