@Sweetjennygirl:  wow so beautiful. I also adore the “May our marriage be a gift to our families, friends, and to the world, just as  your love is a gift to me.” I might steal it for our vows ๐Ÿ™‚  Thanks for sharing!

@Brielle:  um, actually, no, but, he claims that meeting him pulled him out of a Mire and pattern in his life that wasnt what he was designed for. I think he gives me too much credit ๐Ÿ™‚

weve both actually been believers most of our lives, just…wayward ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was totally WOWed by my husband’s vows.  He’s a really good public speaker/writer so I wasn’t surprised, but it was perfect and sweet and he even choked up while saying it. <3

@Sweetjennygirl:  Um.Wow!  Just.Wow!  “I am the Sleeper who has been awoken, and reality is better than any dream could have been.” Yep…lost it right there!  My DH had an issue with alcohol a while back and he has told me, almost verbatim, this exact thing!  Every single word was absolutely precious and so very moving!  I don’t know how you didn’t just fall to the floor weeping haha! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m  always wowed when I hear personalized vows. It’s almost like taking a secret peak inside someone’s relationship.

Im sure I’ll be wowed by whatever my Fiance says, he’s a very eloquent speaker (way more so then me, I’m going to be blubbering my way through mine!)

My only stipulation is that the vows are actual VOWS. I don’t personally like long speeches of endless love, I love for the vows to be what they are supposed to be – actual promises between two people.

To this day I’m still so PISSED about my groom’s vows.  Don’t get me wrong…they were very nice (from what I remember) and everyone cried BUT my DH decided to “go off the cuff” and didn’t write his vows down so I have no record of them!  Then I thought, that’s ok, we got it on video….WRONG!  WRONG!  DH decided not to use the mic when it came turn to say his vows so all the video picked up was the f*cking wind blowing (we married on the beach and it was a really windy day).  So I don’t have them written down anywhere and have no video of them but I can tell by my reaction in photos and such that he made me cry.  Yell

I’m still so PISSED about this!  I even suggested to my DH that he write out new vows for our one year anniversary which is paper anyway so I would be thrilled with that gift.  Lol.

@FortiesFlare:  man o man do I ever absolutely agree with this! That is one reason we did go ahead and include the traditional vows…just in case we “missed” a promise or two in writing our own out. This was a HUGE sticking point for me!

My DHs vows were sooo sweet and well thought out, with just that little bit of humour I expect from him. They were perfect for us, and I was definitely wowed. I also plan on having them framed.

@FortiesFlare:  I couldn’t agree more. I love the glimpse you get into a couple when they share their vows & I think so many personalised vows are simply lists of reasons why you love you fiance- I love seeing what promises people prioritise!
