For our playbill programs we decided to write bios for everybody in our Wedding Party. With the exception of the ushers (close friends of Mr. Hedgie) and Flower Girl (cousin of Mr. Hedgie) and I want your guys’ take on them. Also, should we add bios for the ushers and FG? Their pictures will be a part of the “cast”. Also, I am too laze to edit the names so I removed the last names.
Kristen couldn’t be happier to be marrying Brian! She met him while she was Captain of the Arlington Police Explorers, and they dated through all her four years at the University of North Texas, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She’s not sure where she’ll wind up – as a detective, FBI special agent, law school – but she’ll always have her Brian, her Everything.
Brian (Mr. Hedgie)
Brian really lucked out with Kristen! When he proposed to her back in April of 2010, he was sure that this sweet, caring, loving, loyal, honest, beautiful woman was the only one for him! Brian is nearly finished with his Software Engineering degree at the University of Texas at Arlington – and hopes to continue working as a game developer after that. And he couldn’t be happier knowing that for the rest of his life, he’ll have Kristen, his Angel, by his side.
Sarah was Kristen’s very first roommate, when the two of them began their freshman year at the University of North Texas. They were always there for each other, physically and emotionally – through hardships and more than a few fun times! Sarah is double majoring in Photography and Education, and even has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do! She and Kristen often joked that until Brian and Kristen officially tie the knot, that she and Kristen were married to each other, as roomies!
Amanda and Kristen met after Brian dragged Kristen back to Arizona for a visit one summer, and hit it off immediately. Although it helped that they were the only girls amongst Brian’s buddies, they connected on many levels! Amanda has known Brian since the 4th grade, and was the first among his friends to graduate – as a Nurse no less! She is very hardworking but definitely knows how to party. Even though she is in another state, she’s the type that will remain an awesome friend forever!
As a senior in high school she already has become a phenomenal artist and photographer and keeps getting better and better with each snap of her camera. Her uncanny ability to overcome all of the obstacles that have been put in her way throughout her life and come away stronger each time would inspire anyone. Her ability to care so much about everybody around her touches your heart and brings joy to even the darkest times. She is not only a talented, strong, and loving person, she is also Kristen’s sister and she is very proud of that fact.
Chelsea just graduated from Martin High School. Her dream is to become an addictions psychologist and help those who are struggling through the most difficult times of their lives. Her eagerness to help those in need is part of what makes her such a special person. She is always right there to help and give comfort where it is needed. Whether you are prepared for it or not, she will also be ready and eager to make you laugh in ways you never thought possible. Her ability to bring laughter to a dull room is astounding. Chelsea’s self confidence is a mesmerizing and an admirable trait. As a true friend who will stand firm by your side, she is an amazing sister and undeniably one of Kristen’s best friends.
Aiden (Best Man)
Ever since Aiden exploded into Brian’s life, he’s been sure to keep his big brother on his toes. And Aiden is many, many things – sweet, snippy, smart, smelly, sneaky, loud, and adorable – but he’s always been the best brother Brian could ask for. This is why he is the best man!
Brian met Steve in the fourth grade, and they’ve shared a lot of great memories since then. They’ve always had each other’s back – even when they were getting in trouble rigging booby traps in the school library or smashing windshields or riding desks down stairwells. Steve has a knack for finding adventure no matter where he goes, and he is an extremely loyal friend.
Zach and Brian met in the sixth grade, where Zach introduced Brian to Dungeons & Dragons. Zach could always be relied on for his razor sharp witticisms, and a fantastic sense of humor. It was Zach, in fact, that showed Brian how awesome it is to be a geek! Tucson was never the most exciting place, but with Zach around, everybody always managed to have fun!
David and Brian wound up meeting in college. Together, they shouldered the burdens of UT Arlington’s engineering program. It was never easy, but they never gave up on each other. But they also managed to squeeze in plenty of fun shenanigans. David always made sure to Brian thinking and laughing. David also had a hand in making this wedding possible — David gave Brian a ride one time to have lunch with Kristen — and that was the first time Brian told her he loved her.
