Ok, Feb brides (and any other cold weather ladies who want to kick in) what are you wearing over your dress on the big day?
We definitely are going to do outdoor photos, but I’m having a really hard time finding something to wear over my dress so I don’t freeze.

I originally decided I would crochet myself a red shawl. Forget that I didn’t know how to crochet when I made that decision. Now I’ve taught myself and I’m pretty decent (surprisingly!) but I do not have the time or desire to do it any longer.
I looked at a capelet, but I have really broad shoulders and a deep V neck dress, so most of them didn’t work (the V showed below the capelet and it was like ‘cape, boobs, dress’ not really the look I was going for. I’m considering other options. My dress isn’t white but its not really ivory either, so a bright white shawl makes the dress look yellowish, and ivory anything looks really yellow against the dress. Why is this so difficult?
Also, I like red against the snow. So I’m still pushing for something red.

We are doing these in our colors. The girls will be wearing grey and mine is ivory. We’ll still freeze but hey, that’s winter in Canada.

it most certainly will be freezing cold on our wedding day, so I will be wearing a fur coat but only to get warm, I don’t want to have any pictures in it.
for pictures I’m planning to wear some nice cardigan and a scarf or just snuggle in a blanket
this is perfect

omg, I love that shrug! I have been looking for a fur wrap just like that one since I saw an inspiration picture online a few months ago but havent found one since my dress is blush and the nice ones all seem to come in white or cream, but that one is perfect…
I also live in a mild area and we don’t really get cold weather often but I do want something just in case since February always seems to be the coldest months around here

We’re getting married in October so I decided to get something like this:
Eek! I’m excited!

- Wedding: February 2015 - Mount Hermon
My cousin has a ivory coat she wore for her wedding in 2006. It’s my something borrowed.
The picture is too high resolution so it’s refusing to upload. But it’s pretty!

I ended up ordering a red full length hooded cape (trimmed in Ivory) just before Christmas. I was at a dress fitting and it was such a great price. I can’t wait to see it!

January 31 wedding…
I’m wearing a brown faux fur shawl and my ladies are wearing white shawls.
This is the ‘look’ I’m going for. The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are pretty much the same colour as in the pic below too.

I personally like wearing jackets as they are really comfortable and are easier to manage as compared to wraps and shawls, so will be wearing a woolen jacket which my sister brought for me through online(Salus Medical Uniforms, http://www.salusuniforms.com/Jackets-Lab-Coats-C12.aspx ) as it will be really cold when I will get married.
