I sprained my wrist snowboarding a few years ago. For the first few months I stayed off it. During that time I used ice and ibuprofen. 

Then I started doing yoga to help stregthen it. Plank, side plank, and eventually arm balances (but those came with increased strength). But I went slowly and gradually increased the time on it. You can also hold those positions with a fist or on your forearms. 

Oh and I also did forearm extenstions and ball squeezes (hold a tennis ball and squeeze). 

 

NOTE: this is just my personal experience, and with all injuries I’d say seek medical advice.
