aww your getting married the day after me πŸ™‚ yeah I am just starting on mine too, cannot say I found what I wanted to say, well not in something that makes sense. I have too much to say I guess and it just about putting it together or winging it on that day.

Here are mine πŸ™‚

Erin,

You are the love of my life, and make me happier than I could ever imagine. Thinking of your smile when we are apart makes my heart flutter, and when I am in your arms I feel like the luckiest girl alive. You have made me a better person, and I am so blessed to have you.

Today is the day that we begin our lives together, as one. I think of our future, and know that we can take on anything that life has in store for us. I look forward to all of the exciting days, as well as the lazy ones, as long as they are spent with you.

I promise to love and care for you and I will try in every way to be worthy of your love.

I will always be honest with you, kind, patient, and forgiving.
I promise to keep a sense of humor, and try to make you smile when you are down.
But most of all, I promise to be a true and loyal wife to you.

I love you!!!

Our officiant actually advised us against doing our own vows. He said we are going to be nervous and anxous enough and to add the pressure of public speaking on top of that may be a disaster. He advised to say things that we want to say to each other during a private moment after the ceremony.

I’m not sure what I’m going to say, but I know that I’ll end it with “You are my sky, my sun and my moon” which is a quote from his favourite tv show.

I had a hard time doing my vows as well, and thought about them for months!

But once I wrote them, I loved them – they truly were an expression of us! My ceremony was gorgeous and I was so happy with how it went πŸ™‚

Daniel, it is a blessing and an honor to be standing with you now, ready to join you as your wife forever,
I have never loved anyone more than I do you, and there has never been anyone who has encouraged
and inspired me to be the best person I could ever be as you.
Some people say you marry the person that makes you the happiest. And while you do make me very
happy, I am also marrying the person that brings out the best in who I am, who doesn’t see just my
flaws, but a potential for someone greater, to be the woman God designed me to be.
I promise to do my best to encourage and inspire you to be the best person you can be in Christ, I
promise to pray with you and seek the Lord first and foremost in our marriage
Daniel William Roddin, today and forever I promise my heart to love you always, in times of joy and
times of pain. I promise my heart to be loyal to only you.
I promise my lips to always speak truth to you, and to use them for kind words.
I promise my soul to love God first, so that I may love you even better.
I promise my feet to follow your lead and respect you as my husband and my dearest friend.
I promise my hands to be your helper as we build our lives together.
I promise my head to be a seeker of wisdom as I team with you to make Godly decisions for our life.
I promise my ears to listen to you, even during quarrels and challenging times.
I promise my arms as a refuge for you to retreat to when you need to get away.
I promise myself wholly to you for the rest of our lives as we take on life as husband and wife. As God is
my witness, this is my promise.

I can’t find DH’s vows (which were lovely and funny and probably better than mine), but I found mine!  Here you go:

Mr. Pomapoo,

Being with you makes me complete.  You are everything I want in a partner, a best friend, and a husband.

You are so kind, intelligent, strong, handsome, and best of all, you have such a good heart.

Being with you over the last five years, I feel that we have both grown as people and that you make me a better person.

You always make me feel calmer when I am anxious,

You lift my spirits when I am feeling down,

And you show me your love every chance you get.

I am incredibly lucky to have found my soul mate in you, and I can’t wait to begin the next chapter of our lives together.

I promise to always support you in whatever you do,

To take care of you when you are sick,

To make you laugh when you are feeling sad,

To be faithful to you,

To trust, honor, and respect you,

And to love you with all of my heart.

I promise to accept you for who you are, and to always listen when you have something to say.

I will always love you, always treasure you, and always look forward to each new day that we get to share our lives together.
