My bustle pulled out part way through our reception.  I tried fixing it once (velcro dots are a great thing to put in your emergency bag!), and after that fell out, I just walked around holding my train all night.  If you don’t like the look of the two point, what about having a 3-point bustle put in so you get the security of multiple hooks, but with the look more like a one point.

I went with the one-point bustle for the wedding and wish that I would have had the option to do what you did above.  I had to put a big bobbypin behind the one-point bustle to secure it so it wouldn’t loosen or get stepped on while I was dancing.  My dress was very similar to yours so I would definitely go with the option suggested by your seamstress.  Let us know what you decide.

It doesn’t even look bustled in the first picture!  I think it’s great.

I like the simple 2-point bustle.

I think it looks great! Didn’t even realized it was bustled. My dress was bustled at 5 different spots and 4 of them busted. My dress was a MESS at the end of the night *SNORT* I loved every minute of it though 😉
