- Wedding: October 2010
It pains me to have to write this review! But I can’t believe the flowers were the wrong color! My wedding colors were hot pink and orange—I got PURPLE and orange.
I called Linda while I was sequestered prior to the ceremony and she had the gall to inform me that when she orders “hot pink” from her suppliers, this is the shade she gets every time! She seemed baffled that I didn’t also consider this “hot pink” and referred to the contract where it said ‘hot pink’ (like it was my fault that I didn’t get the color flowers I wanted). I wanted to scream, “I don’t care what you *call* a specific color. I gave you color chips and reference photo (with a few tweaks—no hydrangeas and add gerbera daisies), you are the expert, you know what name a supplier give a certain shade. It’s up to you to use the correct name to get the shade I want!” I really thought that Linda and I were on the same page.
I didn’t sleep well the first 3 nights after my wedding because I kept waking up angry that my flowers were ruined. It breaks my heart every time I look at my pictures. I’m grateful that the photographer was able to Photoshop some of my pictures, but now the flowers look dull.
They did refund 10% and gave me a $200 gift card to try to make up for the problem. But it can’t make up for the fact that everything else on my wedding day was perfect, but my flowers were heartbreakingly wrong.
If it were not for the wrong color problem, this would have been a glowing review. Linda was nice to work with and suggested flowers that fit my budget. (Although keep in mind how much delivery costs.) I liked how it was a big shop so if one person was sick, another person could step in.
But in the end, I cannot recommend Karin’s Florist. In fact, I would go as far as to say—DON’T USE Karin’s Florists.
