My SO who is the BIGGEST grinch ever decided on his own to take me to the National Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve and then out to dinner after. It’s totally out of our way and there’s plenty of other things we could have done instead, but he insisted. He holds my hand the entire way down and is bouncing his knee the whole time. It’s much more crowded than I expected because of the placement of the partitions, but there was a much emptier and bigger section where they would hold performances and we went around there. Still nothing. We took the long way back to the car and were almost completely alone and STILL nothing. We didn’t even end up going to dinner! Build up all week for nothing

I’m nosey and a huge surprise ruiner I guess you could say. I’d already ruined the surprise part where I knew my enegagement ring was in his possession, YES! Now I was speculating like nobody’s business as to when it would happen.

I’m a HUGE baseball fan and we had tickets to an Angels game, which isn’t out of the norm but we hadn’t gone to a game in awhile so it was a little out of the blue. Everyone thought he was going to do it then, my mom, his mom, everybody. I was waiting waiting waiting all night…nothing. I was disappointed but I woke up the next morning to him holding my favorite breakfast in one hand, on one knee, with my ring in the other hand 🙂

Here is my story. I knew my boyfriend had picked up the ring as just before  Christmas he went into the jewelry store several times to check if it was in.Then finally he got a voicemail answered it infront of me than walked away, but I heard the message it was the women saying my ring was ready for pick up. The next morning he said he had some last minute shopping to do. So I thought for sure it’s gonna be Christmas. One of my gifts was a tiny box, as I opened it my daughter screams ” it’s your ring”, nope it was a charm for my bracelet, I was mortified, didn’t know how to react infront of family…..Apparently he was going to but was to shy to do it infront of my family. There have been several other times since then I thought he was going to. Yesterday morning he almost did before leaving for work, he kept following me around the house and made me sit down in a chair, got down on one knee I could feel the ring in his pocket, and said this doesn’t feel right, feels rushed…..so I said then wait…and so that’s what he’s doing…..He also said I will come back with a master plan….. He comes back this weekend and if it doesn’t happen then I’m gonna be one pissed off lady. I know he’s so nervous but all these almost proposals are making me sad.
