I’ll only buy from F21 if it’s in person, so that I know what I’m getting for sure. Sorry about the dress, though 🙁

I love forever21. Never had a problem with quality and ive been shopping there for many years now. Never had trouble ordering online either. Sorry you had a bad experience.  Bummer 🙁

Wear a black cami and call it a day

I’m mostly shocked to find out that Forever 21 still exists.

The description said sheer, which is what you got. If there was something underneath the dress, it wouldn’t have said sheer.

But yea, Forever 21 does suck. Horrible quality clothes. I’d rather pay more money for better quality.

Oh no! Sorry for the weird dress. I almost bought bridesmaids dresses from F21 but decided to go to the store to look at the dress in person. The dress wasn’t in the store but I saw similar items that weren’t so good. I ended up buying the dresses from ModCloth. Their dresses are a little pricier than f21 but I found some affordable and high quality dresses on the site. Plus their customer service is excellent and they offer free returns.

That’s unfortunate. I don’t know anyone that actually likes Forever 21, unless they’re 16 years old perhaps.  I have definitely bought some things there (a loooong time ago) but you have to go in the store because the quality is typically shit, but sometimes you can find things that look halfway decent. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for!

Just put a cami on underneath it like the model in the photo? It’s not really that big of a deal. I’ve shopped at forever 21, and ordered clothes from them countless times. The only problem I ever had was a zipper on a pair of boots I had messed up, and I could only return them rather than exchange because they were sold out.

I’m sorry you seem to have had a hard time with them, same for the other posters. Perhaps I’ve just been lucky all this time. I don’t buy from them much anymore, only because the style has changed lot and I’m over the trends that are happening now.

That does suck that happened but the description says partially lined, I’m assuming that means the skirt since the bodice said sheer. The other two you picked said fully lined or lined.

They have some awesome designs at Forever 21, but the quality is not there, so I’ve never bought anything from them.

Geez guys, F21 has shitty quality clothes but of course people still shop there and of course people still like their stuff.  People older than 16, too.  (not me, I’m too old for that stuff!)

OP, that sucks about the dress.  I’m always fooled by pictures when clothes shopping online and I read the description as an after thought….too bad the store is awful when it comes to returns.

@allyfally:  actually I just looked through all your comments and you mentioned a black shirt once, not 4 times.

Poor OP, everyone is crapping all over your frustration. You just wanted to come on here and vent.

FWIW, I agree with you – it’s a poorly written description. It says sheer and partially lined, but the girl is wearing it with a shirt that starts lower than the dress does, therefore – the top few inches ARE sheer and ARE partially lined. I can see the confusion about not catching it without them writing something like “black tank top not included” or whatever.

Whatever, at least there is an easy solution and the dress is REALLY cute and doesn’t break the bank. I would have been frustrated, too, though.
