Do you have it in the budget to set up a town car for her? Or pre-pay a taxi service to shuttle her to the hotel? I don’t think it’s your grooms responsibility to drive her, but you definitely should do your best to accommodate your Aunt.

I’d say get her a taxi, or if you have a relative that wants to “help” and you need them out of your way, assign them taxi duty and kill two birds with one stone 😉 I did that for my wedding, it worked out great, LOL!!!

@bakerella:  taxi duty sounds like a great idea! I’m forever amazed at what people think you should do for them at your own wedding.

@Tanya5484:  It sounds like she’s being really kind by going to the church an hour early to hand out programs for you. I think paying for her taxi will be a small thank you gesture.

Alternately you could say that your make up artist is going to have her hands full with you and the BMs and can’t accommodate an extra person the morning of the wedding, problem solved.

It sounds like you just wanted to rant.  I’m sorry you’re dealing with this at the last second.  Some people just don’t consider that the idea they have in their mind (well-intentioned, cheap and selfish, whatever it may be), just isn’t practical or helpful.  I think that you should stick to your guns, tell your aunt that, unfortunately, she didn’t give you quite enough notice to be able to accomodate her, and that the best you can do is suggest a taxi or give your stepdad directions.  In my opinion, you and your fiance should not have to deal with shuttling people around on your wedding day due to last minute, unnecessary changes of plans.

Why does she feel she needs her makeup professionally done?  She’s not a member of the bridal party.
