Did they take anything, or just damage both vehicles?? πŸ™ I’m sorry this happened.

What about a car insurance claim? Or is your deductible too high it’s not worth it?

Ugh, that really sucks, I’m so sorry.  That happened to me once: my car was broken in to and my laptop, my friend’s laptop, and some Christmas presents were stolen.  Your car insurance should pay for any damage to the car.  Was anything stolen?  If you have renter’s insurance it should cover any stolen items.

People are jerks.  I don’t understand why people think they are entitled to steal other people’s things for themselves.  I’m sooo sorry that this happened to you πŸ™  Hugs!

Ugh, that sucks!

When I lived with my ex, someone broke into our vehicles while he was out of town for work. I had actually thought I heard someone sneaking around house in middle of night but just chalked it up to a bad dream! Sure enough in the morning, there were footprints in the snow around our windows.

When I went to the vehicles we parked on our parking pad (garage no longer was safe and we needed to rebuild), someone had punched out the lock on his driver’s side door. He kept nothing of value in there, but they had thrown the burned CD’s and a roll of toilet paper (from camping and road trips, ha ha) on the ground. They stole his operating manual! Bizarre.

My car was just an old Sprint, easy enough to get into without even having to do any damage. Nothing in mine was touched either as I kept nothing in there.

Mine we did not need to file a claim on as nothing was busted, but we had to file a claim on his as he needed a new lock assembly and door panel.

I know how violating it can feel! I was definitely more creeped out that whoever it was had been sneaking around the windows while I was sleeping though. Glad we had an alarm at least!

Unfortunately, even living in the country does not mean you are immune to this kind of stuff. I know a few people in rural areas who have had their places busted into while they were away.

Ugh thats the worst. I drive a soft top convertable & used in live downtown & parked in a garage. I’ll never forget the feeling as you walk up and realize that some loser broke into your car. In my incident, they broke one of the ceiling lamps and used that to cut my top open πŸ™

The worst feeling ever though, is having someone break into your house. Someone broke into my house in college and stole my laptop & digital camera. I felt completely sick that some creepy stranger went into my bedroom – that is a sick feeling. πŸ™
