megroll:  rose gold underlay. They didn’t give me a choice as to weather it was beaded or not, but yes mine had beads.

I just got married last week so I don’t have my pictures back yet, but I have this one from my fitting to show how beautiful the dress is busled(sp?) the bead were a pain in the ass if I would have had the option I would have gone with out. They snagged on themselves all night and you couldn’t really see them

megbrunk:  that’s so helpful to know! I ordered mine with the almond underlay, which is just a tiny bit lighter and less pink than the rose gold, and I ordered it without the beading- I was hoping that no beading would give it a softer effect. and now your input makes me extra glad I did!

Also it looks great bustled!

I just ordered mine – beaded with almond. Nervous necause I have never seen that combination in person – if anyone has pictures would appreciate it!! Ordered extra lace in case for straps, and planning to alter to sweatHeart.

jennalayne:  I ordered mine with the almond underlay too! I haven’t gotten it in yet so I don’t have any pictures, but in the store I was able to put the Pippin lace over the almond underlay from another dress, and it looked great. It’s similar to the rose gold, just a little bit lighter and less pink- but the wonderful pattern still shows up well, which is what I was worried about. There’s another thread on this website that does have a few pictures of the ivory lace over the almond:

Even though it isn’t the Pippin, it is super similar lace and gives you a great idea of how much the pattern will show up 🙂

k8t1234:  I’m really nervous just ordered my dress and I think its a size too big. Was a taylor able to take in the dress or is the beading too complex? Any brides out there who can comment.  I have a very short window to change my size.

reina2016:  if you look on the watters website, you can see a picture of the pippin with the ivory underlay here:

http://watters.com/Product/WtooBrides/13111/

there is an option on the screen to look at the dress with any of the six lining colors, so just click on the ivory one.

also, I saw that you are nervous about having it altered for size- I haven’t gotten mine in yet, but everything I’ve read, and heard, is that this dress gets altered all the time, so the beading can’t be a big deal. I think it’s a really standard thing. Don’t worry!

reina2016:

dont worry if your dress is a bit big, my dress was taken in everywhere as I lost some weight, as long as you have a competent seamstress it’s no problem 🙂

Just got married and I added cap sleeves to my gown. Ivory dress not the rose gold lining but champagne.

reina2016:  the alterations can be done. It will just cost more as the seamstress must take off all the beading, make adjustments, and then replace the beading. I spent about 500$

jennalayne:  my dress came in, this is the almond, but unbeaded. the color is warmer in person than in this picture, but as you can see, the pattern still shows up really well! I had the neckline changed to a sweetheart, and am adding the straps pinned here. I was nervous about all the changes, but I like them now that I can see them in person 🙂

ACT654 – could you possibly send a pic from the front?  Those are the exact straps / sleeves I would like added to mine and would love to show my tailor more pics.  Thanks xx
