Im sorry! Thanks for letting everyone know! The dress is really pretty though.. are you still going to be able to use it? Can those things be fixed or are you going with a different dress altogether?

The bodice of the dress is pretty awesome. Perhaps the two of you could work out your differences!

That dress looks really nice! And even my $6K Priscilla of Boston gown had a faulty zipper, we almost couldn’t get me in it on my wedding day..

@Lyon: The only I find suspicious is nowhere on your website does it say the dresses are made in China. It hints that all dresses are made at you company directly which I find kind of shady. Maybe put it in the FAQ that the dresses are actually made in China and that might alleviate some ill-will from brides. Just saying…

@OP: Just have the zipper fixed by a seamstress. Zippers are the #1 defect for wedding dresses, My guess is they know we only wear the dress once, so they may as well skimp saving and use cheap zippers. 😉  Honestly though if that is your only problem with the dress…it is a very minor problem so count yourself lucky!

Just wanted to put my two sense in because I took a huge leap of faith and bought my dress from this business also. I however had the best experience one could have. I have friends who bought thier dresses the traditional way and had less help then I recieved from Janet by far. She was amazing!! I recieved my dress earlier then expected and was more in love with it then I remember when I tried on the 5k one that it was modeled after. Janet worked with me on color because I wanted something differant and it will really be one of those dresses that people never forget and I got it $550. I understand that everyone is entitled to thier opinion however I really believe that this negative experience was either the result of a “bridzilla” who wouldnt have been happy with anything. Or the exception more then the rule. I recieved my dress just 2 days ago also just as a reference to how recently I worked with Janet. If considering ordering from this business all you have to do is speak with Janet and I assure you she will put all your fears to rest, she did mine!! If anyone would like pictures on my dress feel free to e-mail me and I will gladley provide them!!

So I’m looking through the dresses and they’re goregous.  I know these are manufactured in China b/c these are very similiar to the dresses on dhgate.com.  I wish I knew which vendor b/c then I’d order directly from them.  The dresses on http://www.mybigfatbeautifulweddings.com are beautiful and I can tell 95% of them are very well made.

I have to say, I also purchased my wedding gown from Janet and she is great to work with, great customer service and believe it or not, my dress fit me perfectly right out of the package!  I had no worries at all – no dress will be made absolutely perfectly but mine was beautiful and just like the pictures on her site.  http://www.mybigfatbeautifulwedding.com also now has a physical storefront so that should help prove Janet and her team of seamstresses are real and know what they’re doing.  I ordered the Ellanis (lace-up back) and it arrived in about 12 weeks as promised.  Here is a picture of the dress.  I hope this helps alleviate any fears.  Janet can also be reached by phone.

PS That dress above really does look gorgeous!

See, stuff like this makes me nervous. How do we know that these reviews are legit? People seem seem to be coming out of nowhere to make accounts just to comment on this thread.

In any case, I’m about 100% sure that I won’t be going this route anyway. Best of luck with your dress…I hope the brides that go this route are satisfied with their dresses.
