Help ladies please. The venue we are using has 2 beautiful spots to hold our ceremony, and I don’t know what to do. Our theme is Spring Butterflies but as you can see in picture 1 where Fiance wants to have the ceremony there are dolphins in the fountain. But yet in picture 2 we would have all the homes in our background which is what he doesn’t like.
Any ideas to come up with for intermingling the Dolphins with my Butterflies?
Also our colors are Green/Ivory/Chocolate and figuring out how that would work as well. My Maid/Matron of Honor and 2 Bridesmaids as well as Flowermaid were going to wear different shades of Green, I think I am goign to have the Maid/Matron of Honor wear brown and I am wearing Ivory. Would this work?
I have attached a picture of where we will be having our ceremony, actually 2 options of the same place… The first one is actually a fountain that is under cover, which takes care of if it rains. The second is overlooking the lake, which I do not particularly care for the homes in the background.

It sounds like a beautiful wedding.
I agee with not using the second site. The background for your photos would be too busy.
Will the fountain be operating during the ceremony? If so, you could place a large plant beside the dolphins that would hide them.
If not, to give a more neutral background for the ceremony at the fountain, you could use stick on velcro to cover up the whole fountain with fabric, with something like this in front- a curtain of butterflies.
or, just clip on a few silk butterflies
you can get silk butterflies here:

you could disguise the dolphins with either flowers, or a rose tree or something.
failing that, there wont be too many photographs of this, so maybe if you spoke sweetly to your photographer, he/she could erase them from the photos?
but i stil think that rose trees would be easier……
OR maybe you could borrow a scenic backdrop from a photographer? i have one that i have used in situations such as this, and it works pretty good

@anne B: exactly this.
You can just get some tall flower arrangements on pedestals or something and hide those suckers 🙂

Thank you for the ideas. I was talking to Fiance about this as well, and he said we could try to hide the dolphins somewhere as well.
I love butterflies and he loves fishing, I would love to find a way to incorporate both, but I just do not see it happening.
In the mean time, yes the fountain should be working at the time. I am liking the plant idea to hide the dolphins however.
THANK YOU LADIES
