I have no clue what to do for Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts and rehearsal is on Sunday….
My BMs responsibilities were/are : wear a dress they choose (black… don’t care what style, shade or legnth) and show up 30 minutes prior to ceremony next week.
There are 4 current BMs and a BridesMan. There are 2 BMs who I had to ask to step down, but they are married to guys who are groomsmen, so unfortunately they will be at the rehearsal anyway. (I asked them to step down because it turns out, they couldn’t stand me and were pretty vocal about how horrible they thought I was to some other people I know. Long story, I posted about it on a different thread).
Originally, I wanted to get the 4 BMs Coach wristlets and the guy a gift cert to his favorire “guy stuff” store.
But for the sake of keeping things drama free, I am going to get something for the 2 ex-BMs as well, since the 2 ex=BMs actually did most of the work (with my mom) on the shower. They actually started doing that prior to even being asked to be in the wedding party… they told me they just like planning events… So I will get them “shower hostess” thank yous.
Proper ettiquette says I can’t get my friends designer wristlets and get the two ex-BMs (who are not my friends in any way) monogrammed keychains from Wal Mart.
So, I am now thinking about just getting everyone a box of Godiva chocolate and an iTunes card and giving all of them the same thing and calling it a day.
Except for the lone guy who is still getting his gift card to the comic book place.
Would you be pissed if you were in someone’s wedding, with the duties I mentioned above (wear black, show up) and someone gave you a box of high end chocolate and a music gift card?
FWIW, Fiance is getting the groomsmen Game Stop gift cards. Our parents are getting photo frames.
